This, for the starting line-up. Keep Hedo out.
agreed...i didn't see anything great from the "turkish jordan" in his last stint in orlando either, ice cold horrible shooting for most of the game and then he hits a couple in the dying seconds and suddenly becomes a "clutch shooter"...useless on defense as well...

BARNES OUT
Gortat was hugely overrated IMO. Poor defender at the best of times. They need some size though. Bass is a beast and Anderson is okay. Not much else there though.

Magic needed to do something now else face being in Denver's position next year but they panicked big time.

J-Rich is a good fit for their system but is well on his way down and is a ball stopper. Gilbert is tight with Otis Gibson the Orlando owner and Dwight loves him so despite his contract if he can be half as good as he was 3-4 years ago he's a sick sixth man for them. Hedo never should have left in the first place, he's a good if way overpaid fit for them. But they're not beating Boston with only one centre.

Still though, major panic attack move and when it falls flat and Dwight leaves they'll still be in salary cap hell and won't be bad enough to get a top 3 pick or two that they'll need.

Love to see franchises in the East destroy their line-ups in an effort to win now so they can keep their star (Cavs, now Magic). Hardly ever works.

Rumors about a new deal are surfacing between Nets and Nuggz. Melo, Billups, Harrington to NJ. NJ sends Favors, Murphy, picks to Nuggets. Harris goes to an unamed team. Itstl.

the lakers lose badly to the bucks, that's just sad...this is supposed to be one of their deepest teams ever and now everyone is finally healthy so there should be no excuses....

That deal doesn't make sense, the deal before was just Melo for Favours, Murphy's expiring and picks, and they turned it down...
Denver would do the original deal but Melo won't go to the Nets with that roster. What they're trying to do is involve more teams and try and get him some help straight away. How they manage that I don't know, but that seems to be the line of thinking. Nuggets are doing everything possible to keep him away from New York and a lot of other GM's would love to help them do that too so something could possibly work there.

The Mavericks are aggressively trying to acquire Carmelo Anthony, according to league source.

Dallas isn't concerned about receiving any assurances from Anthony about signing a long-term deal after the season.

Mark Cuban is eager not only to add Anthony to an already dangerous roster, but also to steal him from the Nets and billionaire rival Mikhail Prokhorov.

Would love to see a Melo and Birdman for Butler, Haywood, Roddy and a first rounder happen. So much better than NYK's **** on a stick platter. Works for both teams, Denver is a nasty team defensively:

Billups
Afflallo
Butler
Nene
Haywood

with a heap of scoring and Kmart off the bench. Not even scoring to win a ring but they will remain competitive now. Buy out or trade Chauncey next season and run with Roddy and Lawson. They even get a pick out of it.

Dallas then has Kidd with Dirk, Melo and Terry to feed the ball to in the last 8 minutes of the game. Teams are not going to be able to double all three of them (which you have to) and Chandler will get a lot of room to wipe the off glass. Plus they have Mahinmi (who's been excellent) who can slot into the backup centre role and Birdman as cover. Oh and they'd still have Marion and Barrea off the bench. Team would annihilate mother****ers worse than what they're doing now.

Cuban wouldn't care about Melo walking(which I doubt he does). They'll get far away from the luxury tax and Cuban wouldn't hesitate to use it to upgrade again. Even for five months he's the type of owner who'd do it just to see the most loaded Mavericks team he's ever had. Seriously, the possibilties of a Dallas or Houston taking a plunge really ****s with the Knicks.

I've been following the Bucks for a while now, and they are a very frustrating team. They definitely have the potential to be a deep playoff team, but just don't have the consistency. They showed against the Lakers that if they use Bogut a majority of the time they are a big chance.

Also, Boykins had a game to dream of, he was hot.

5 games in a row. Wow, getting ready for Knicks-Bulls starting soon but loving all the games on today. Can't wait for the Heat-Lakers one though, should be another insane atmosphere.

Can so see a Celtics-Mavericks finals series. Would be pretty insane, although less glamorous than if the Lakers get there.
