So we've made our first signings since the end of the season picking up Gretna's Scotland U21 keeper on a free and getting Keiran Lee from Manure...apparently he was on loan at QPR last year

I wonder how many times I will lose my avatar to you next season.

Fancy a bet over the season as a whole?

If you do fancy it, how about putting it out there. Whoever finishes highest picks the other's avatar, and the period of time the avatar is up is one week for each point. Given recent seasons it wouldn't be too much but you never know!

It's a deal...will be back home in December(now that my brothers wife has decided to pop one out) anyway so i'll be back to full participation i'd have thought by the end of the season.

Excellent. If our Boundary Park fixture falls in the 09 portion of the season I will be up for a pint if you are.

Tis true, though only just (counting 30 Domestic and 4 European for us, to 32 and 8).

Could equal them there scousers next season if we do the double (and would take us upto 18 leagues n all, currently they've 7 FA Cups and 7 League cups to our 11/2). Another triumph in europe would seriously cut their blagging rights n all.

Thats what keeps Fergie goin :)
Technically speaking, we're competing for seven trophies next year tbh, even if only three of those are important (that said I'd like to be able to say that we're Champions of the World).

Dont count the Super Cup and Charity Shield as anything really, take it were in the intercontinental cup or whatever they have nowadays, cant bide much by that eihter

If i did reckon we'd be ahead of liverpools haul. Won more CS's, only 2 less Super cups, and were the only british team to win, in the intercontinental (only british team ever to score in it, Willie Morgan got one in 68, then i think Giggs got the goal in 2000)

Do they still have the Intercontinental? Seem to remember Liverpool playing in a knockout in Japan, like a trimmed down version of the farcical tournament you lot played in in 2000

Yeah, it's called the World Club Cup. Played at the end of the Japanese season. To generate home interest, the winner of the J League plays the Oceanian Club Cup winner for a spot even if they did rubbish in the continental cup.
