Backing EPO for the title this year, although the romantic in me would like to see amphetamines get up, for old time's sake.

Dropped Soler as I don't think he will last the race. Poor guy, has had the worst luck this year, would of carved up in the Giro in the mountains had he not had some terrible luck.

Pleased with that start... very nearly picked McEwen as well but decided I didn't fancy it after he pissed me off by being crap after week one last year... could have been up in the top 30... not likely to stick anywhere near here after tomorrow: no one in my top eight will be scoring!

Denis Menchov is probably out of it GC wise losing 38 seconds, and Riccardo Ricco's chances are gone, not that I would think he would last. Menchov is strong in the time trial, but he will have to pick up a lot of time tomorrow. I hope Romain Feuillu can hold on to the yellow jersey, he finally looks like a French rider who will actually do something.

Anyway I'm loving this year's racing, in years gone by, the sprinters team would place 6 or 7 goons on the front and bring back the break and it is a bunch sprint. Boring. Not this year, a lot of the time, teams are crucifying themselves on the front, as they would in the past, and still getting no where. More of this please.

Have just discovered we have another Kolpak Brit in Chris Froome who appears to be semi-competent (well, better than Geraint anyway...) and is going okay in today's ITT.

Thoughts on getting rid of the time bonuses?
