Name sports you cannot bear to watch

Objectively I'd have to say Union is a pretty great spectator sport. The action is basically non-stop and really intense, lots of close finishes and plenty of tactics going on if that's what you're into.

Unfortunately in the UK and Ireland (and judging by your posts also Australia) it has by far the worst culture of any sport. Think Tory plus macho plus misogyny. Or as one of the Irish journalists said "I loved it until I grew up and realised it was played exclusively by people who look down on people like me." At this point when I watch it I mostly just want all of the players to get hurt.
The worst thing for me is the whole superiority complex over football and football fans that you see from the media and some (definitely not all) rugby types.

The funniest thing in rugby is the so called respect for the referee. It’s not respect out of anything other than the knowledge they send players off in a heartbeat if they argue. Fear and respect are not the same.

LT. Please can you give an example of one person you fear, and another who you respect?

Definitely the most disappointing sporting event that I have been to was a NHL game (?)

Spent a fortune on a ticket just to see Gretzky but he pulled out just before the start and the thing bored me senseless

League has the advantage that the rules are really straightforward and easy to understand, with the downside that this makes the game predictable. Union has the advantage that the game is a lot more 'open-plan' and there's more variety of play - with the downside that the rules are constantly having to be changed to adapt to new tactics that essentially break the game from a spectating point of view. I don't have the slightest clue behind the reasons for the various penalties awarded at scrum time and in the ruck and that's a bit of a problem. For me, Rugby's only real advantage over league is the variety of country's that play it. The World Cup feels like a proper global sporting event with the presence of the PI nations, Argentina, France, Georgia etc. Makes it a lot of fun.

Weight-lifting. The potential for gruesome injury sends waves of nausea through me every time.

Upper-middle class people who don’t dare go near a semi-competitive game of football in case they catch Poorness telling us how soft it is.

Well that can apply for most sports doesn't it? Granted it's probably more common in weightlifting than most others.

Don't see many people ****ting their bowels out in tennis, mate.
My point was that there can be some squeamish incidents that you see regardless of the sport. No Popavalium Andropov-style injuries granted but things like broken legs etc look really bad.

Professional Wrestling - cannot for the life of me understand how grown adults can watch that scripted **** (probably doesn't qualify as a sport TBF)
Boxing, MMA etc. - any sport where the objective is to hit your opponent
Cycling, Long Distance running, Formula 1 - zzz
Pro wrestling at its best is probably better than anything test cricket can muster. You're all missing out and deserve to be pitied.
thanks man, appreciate the sympathy...
In all seriousness, I'd suggest you watch this video. It's pretty awesome:

You probably wont watch it since it's half an hour, but atleast I get an excuse to post it

OK, I watched it (well, most of it). It's given me an idea - I'm going to make a YouTube video about the amazing story of those porn stars who fell in love with each other and the plumber who actually fixed the friendly lady's taps.
