Think the list might have been made before Armstrong's fifth TdF, it's dated 2002.

Very dodgy list on outside the US stuff though. Virén on the list but not Zátopek, Jonathan Edwards or Al Oerter? Indurain ahead of Merckx (Indurain only won time trials, which helped him win overall)? Not too familiar with the squash but surely snooker or Aussie rules carries at least equal prestige? And where are the footballers post-1975 (Maradona aside?) - Platini, Romario, even Zidane ought to have been on in 2002.

Come on mate ..even a parochial Aussie like me Brocky was the best in OZ but in a top 50 of all time ..I don't think so.
