Battle of the AFL Stars

So i was thinking, Footy season is upon us, and after a bit of a search, i notice there hasn't been a Battle of the AFL Stars as yet. I was thinking that seeing as a vast majority of us don't know a whole lot of AFL history, that limiting it to players from 1996-2006.

Before i go ahead though, is there going to be enough interest to bother running the battle? It'd be pointless if there was only 7/8 of us participating.

Thoughts??

Would prefer if we had players who played the Majority of their career in the selected timeframe.

Number of players in the battle? I was thinking 64 first ?

If you nominate players, could you please also name the club/clubs the played for, and wether they were a Foward, Back, or Midfielder.

Wayne Carey - North Melbourne Kangaroos/Adelaide Crows - Centre Half Foward
Michael Voss - Brisbane Lions - Midfield
James Hird - Essendon Bombers - Half Foward/Midfield
Nathan Buckley - Collingwood Magpies/Brisbane Bears - Midfield
Chris Judd - West Coast Eagles - Midfield
Jonathon Brown - Brisbane Lions - Centre Half Foward
Tony Lockett - St Kilda/Sydney(Sydney only in the selected period) Full Foward
Ben Cousins - West Coast Eagles - Midfield
Andrew McLeod - Adelaide Crows - Midfield/Halfback
Mark Ricciuto - Adelaide Crows - Midfield
Jason Akermanis - Brisbane Lions - Midfield
Matthew Lloyd - Essendon Bombers - Full Foward
David Neitz - Melbourne -Full Foward
Scott West - Western Bulldogs - Midfield
Brad Johnson - Western Bulldogs - Midfield/Foward Pocket
Warren Tredrea - Port Adelaide Power - Centre Half Foward
Gavin Wanganeen - Essendon Bombers/Port Adelaide Power
Robert Harvey - St. Kilda - Midfield
Shane Crawford - Hawthorn - Midfield
Matthew Pavlich - Fremantle - Centre Half Foward
Adams Goodes - Sydney Swans - Midfield

edit: Haha, 96 players is a little to many... 64, or 48?

Tbf, starting at 1996 was just a conspiracy to eliminate many of Carlton's stars from 95.

Oh, this is getting disgusting. Brett Lovett? Hadn't Schwarze had his three reconstructions by '96? Was never the same player.
