Mayweather savages 'fat' Hatton

http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/boxing/6328555.stm

Dunno how many fight fans are on here, but if Hatton has any sense he will stay well away from Mayweather. Hatton is living off his victory against a 35 year old, shot kosta tszyu. His last two performances across the pond have been shockingly bad, if he goes anywhere near Floyd he will get absolutely wasted. Although all the blinkered Hatton fans will tell you you different.

Now Oscar De La Hoya up against Mayweather is a fantastic prospect.

Ricky hasn't looked at his best, no. I'm no expert, but I can't imagine having to shift a (reported) 40lbs in 10 weeks before his last fight helped.

There's a distinct suspicion he's avoiding certain fighters too. Junior Witter is always on about wanting to fight him & the IBF have threatened to strip him (again) if he goes ahead with his plan to fight Jose Luis Castillo (well into his 30s) rather than the mandatory challenger.

If he doesn't take on Castillo, and chooses to defend his IBF title, then his chances of leaving some sort of legacy will vanish. Miguel Cotto and/or Mayweather, should he meet either will expose Hatton.
