Race 3 Number 3 I Will Survive at Warwick Farm tomorrow..
One of my gallopers...
She is a top quality filly who has had a few injury problems, if she runs(depending on the ground) She will be very very hard to beat.. Probably jump favourite, but definatley worth a look.. Also have another one on the same day, but is 4th emergency and is unlikley to get a start, but if he does he will also be a chance coming off a flying 2nd 1st up.. Race 7 Number 16 Sir Interdane...
Also have another one in on Thursday at Hawkesbury but i would not tip her unless the track is good or fast, which at this stage is unlikley, but just in case.. Race 4 Number 10 Molokai Dancer

No one else is probably following them, but the Australasian Breeders Crown semi finals are on tonight, and I got my first look at Lombo Pocket Watch, which has - after tonight - won 16 out of 17, his only failure a result of broken gear.
In saying that, I wasn't super-impressed with his win tonight. Sure, things didn't go his way with the wide draw, and having to sit five back in the one-out line before moving up to be parked, but he still didn't kick on like a super star. His expected rival, the Kiwi prodigy Gotta Go Cullen is racing in 20 minutes, but has a much harder draw - here's hoping he has an easy run into the final so we can see the match-up. Then again, I'd prefer Lombo Mandingo (great names... ) to win this heat, as it would mean I'm 4/6ths of the way to winning $800.
Highlight of the night so far has been the Kiwi filly One Dream, which absolutely hammered them after breaking wildly behind the mobile at the start.

Oops, meant to watch that. Oh well, I'll be at work when the final's on so can't miss that at least. Good to hear he's through to the final, hope he can settle and run up to his best on Sunday.
Apparently 10 horses are doing exhibition gallops between races at Taupo tomorrow. I think the fact that they're doing that instead of having any appropriate races to enter is a problem, but it's still exciting to think that spring and Hawke's Bay (oh, and Melbourne too...) is just around the corner (I'll be heading down to the Bay for the Kelt for the 7th time in a row, can't wait).

Don't judge LPW on LM run tonight to much, LM has a nice sprint but is a bit on the weak side.

I was terribly disappointed in Western Dream's performance - at her best, she'd blow them away, but she had every chance, considering she had the 1-1 most of the way. Don't think Herlihy will be able to get her up to speed by Sunday.
Likewise, don't judge GGC by tonight's run - did you see how keen he was when he was in the trail? And he lost 30kg on the way over on the plane, and is eventually getting it all back on. Personally I think his run, considering where he was stuck, was better than LPW, but then again, that was the danger Thorn took when she stuck to the pegs.
Still, it'll be a mouthwatering clash between the two juvenile superstars on Sunday anyway.

Hoping for one of the best thoroughbreds in NZ to extend her record to 7 from 7 tomorrow. I can't see Seachange being beaten to be honest, she's just completely superior to these and it should hopefully be just another step on the way to the much tougher Mudgway next start.
One to consider if you're having a crack at the $500,000 Pick 6 is Thisonesonme in the first leg. Well bred, brilliantly named (Generous - Hooker).
And in the second race of the day a colt called Castelli (Galileo - Danasia) should be hard to beat on breeding alone.
(This is assuming the track comes up Dead or the better side of Slow)

Well the Spring Carnivals are quickly approaching and i personally cannot wait... Some super horses and some super races are expected...
Personally it could be a very BIG spring for me... 1 of my horses has been nominated for both Cups(Caufield and Melbourne).. Although alot of water is still to pass under the bridge he is a definate chance to get there...
Im looking forward to a few things other then that...
* Seeing Eremein stamp his class as Australasia's #1 Horse..
* Seeing the battle of last seasons 2yo's, Churchill Downs, Universal Queen, Miss Finland, Gold Edition, Casino Prince.. As well as Elvestroems young brother Haradasun..
* Watching Regal Cheer continue her rise and become the #1 Mare in Australia

And Castelli bolted in today at Te Rapa, hugely impressive win...if I was to pick a 2000 Guineas winner today it'd be him.
They've just said though that they'll aim the horse at the VRC Derby. I can't say I approve of that, the race just seems so tough and brutal for a 3yo in November, can't remember a winner in recent years to have much success in the rest of the season.

My Horse's name is Regal Troche... Ran 4th in the Autumn in the G3 Packer Plate, and i think the longer distances will suit him..._Ed_ said:

Couple of tips for tomorrow: Jokers Wild in Race 2 at Hastings, Paul Moroney has said that he thinks he would have been competitive in the Mudgway (G1 WFA) if he'd been entered, so he should just win. Heading for the 2000 Guineas. Shouldn't get much more than your money back, but still.
As for the Mudgway, amazing field. I think Darci Brahma is way too short at $2.30 in a field like that, I'm thinking Kristov could lead all the way and take it. Kristov gave Darci 5kgs when he beat him at this distance last season, only giving him 1kg tomorrow. My trifecta: Kristov-Calveen-Seachange with Pentane and Wahid making ground at the end.
How good was Musket at Canterbury on Wednesday? Massive run.
And here in NZ we had 2 impressive 3yos on Wednesday, Magic Tryst won by 4 and a quarter and Star of Nero by 3 and a half. Watch those two.

It was. I do expect him to do that again yeah, it's his usual style with his high cruising speed. There aren't any in the field that I can see taking him on in front so I think he could get a very cheap lead and be tough to get past in the straight.
The wide draw is the only problem, but it's a good 600m to the first turn so as long as he jumps well it shouldn't be too much of an issue.
