I'd probably consider Bart Cummings to be a coach more than a sportsman as well, though in cases (quite often in other Equestrian sports) people both train and compete the horses. I'm not sure if this happens in horse racing much (you'd have to ask Voltman) but as Cummings didn't ride it, I'd call him a coach.

Pretty big in the other Scandinavian countries, especially Norway and Finland, too (though we're more keen on special breeds which trot slower).

Must say German or Dutch horses are pretty rare in the big harness competitions up here. Italians more common.

Yeah, in contrast, the biggest race in NZ is worth $1.2million and there are probably a dozen, if not more, races worth $200,000 or more, including a Derby next year worth $750,000.

    Football: Find it OK
    Rugby union: Boring
Rugby league: Love it. Up there with Cricket as my favorite sport
Golf: either "not care" or sit four hours in front of the TV
Snooker: Seems like a sport for men to get drunk.
Aussie rules: 3rd favorite sport, behind League and Cricket
Field hockey: Is cool to play
    Ice hockey: See field
    Tennis: See golf
    Badminton: Haven't really tried it
    Boxing: Tedious
Volleyball: Don't like it, playing it is OK I guess
Beach volleyball: Women are hot in swimmers.
Athletics: Can be exicting or tedious. Depends on which event.
    Wrestling: Looks gay.
Swimming: Good sport, favorite Olympic sport.
    Darts: See snooker
Baseball: All right to play, but the maturity of players make it suck on TV.
    Yankball: WTF?
Basketball: Decent to watch, but is a poor sport to play, esp. for a guy with no stamina.
    Netball: See basketball. Girl's sport.
Handball: Being Australian I don't really know.
Cycling: Pretty good sport, but it can drag out in the road races.
Gaelic: know Sweet FA about it
Some other sport that I have stupidly omitted: Can't think of any ATM.
