Those are ridiculously low then. How they manage a pipeline of players is beyond me.

Management don't care, they know there's an endless supply of guys who will eat a lot of **** to try and make the big leagues when you finally earn a reasonable amount of money. The life of a minor league player is insane, dudes would borrow money, sleep in the clubhouse, use food banks etc. to make ends meet.
