Fowler blows out Sydney

From the Beeb:

http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/6281850.stm

Little surprised that it seems to have come down to money in the end. From what I've heard Fowler is absolutely minted & owns something like 100 houses which he lets out. The scousers actually sing (to the tune of Yellow Submarine) "We all live a Robbie Fowler house, a Robbie Fowler house, a Robbie Fowler house".

Yeah, you've heard correctly. It's always been the basis of the Fowler to Tranmere rumours that have been surfacing every April since he joined ShCity

Weird to see Milligan attacked in this thread. I thought he was fantastic against Thailand, made a huge difference coming into the side. I agree with Cahill starting though. The guy basically had 3 assists off the bench.

4-0 was hugely flattering obviously, but Australia were much more polished up forward and were pretty much always going to win for that reason alone. Viduka's first goal was pretty classy, deflection aside. Crazy that he's almost doubled his international goal tally in his last four games or whatever.

Is the Ref being as utterly dire as the Radio Commentators i'm listening to are making out? According to them the Kewell yellow, Grella Red, and Carney yellow were all dire decisions...

What's the score? Even the BBC CBA to cover the Asian Championships.

That's right too, I'm watching it live on Fox Sports now.

The ref is an absolute joke - its absolutely awful referring from him. That red card will definitely be over-ruled if the competition allow an appeal process and Australia end up winning.

It's 1-1 going into Extra Time.

Australia are down to 10 men with no subs left. Japan have 2 subs left.

1-1 at halftime in Extra Time. Aussie playing the counter-attack quite well with Kewell and defending in numbers. That Aussie no die attitude is really showing.

It goes to penalty kicks - an absolutely amazing save by Schwarzer in the final 30 seconds saved Australia.

Come on Australia.
