Feels kind of dirty when Australia played that poorly and Syria were so brave, not having a home game at all. Really thought hat free kick was in at the end.

Anyway, cant see anyone beating Australia now. World Cup is ours to lose.

Did anyone else think the refereeing decisions in that game were almost comically anti-Syria? Or was that just me?

Timmy Cahill still banging in the goals. WAFG. I reckon he'd still be the most potent goal-threat if he came back to Everton now.

The replacement ref ignoring two linesmans flags for a good 30 seconds was one of the stranger things I've seen for sure.

Not the bits I watched. Had a tough job, some odd calls against Kruse and looked through the fingers of that sudden cramp from Mardkian.

Amate of mine knows a lot more about football than I do and it's his belief that Ange is doing his level best to stuff the team by attempting to have them play like Barcelona without having the necessary quality

Hard to disagree when you see them knock the ball around before inevitably losing it over and over again

Marketing worming its way into goal celebrations. Is it possible for anything to be sacred?

Who cares. He's been boxing corner flags like a ****ing dickhead for a decade, not like it's any worse.

Can't believe Ange quit. Did all the work to get us there and doesn't get to see it through.

Should the FFA go down the route:

    1) get the best manager with a sole focus only on success at this WC, or
    2) appoint a longer term coach for the next 4 years also?

I think we should probably get a world class manager to take the job just for the WC, might see us outperform current expectations.

Really enjoying watching the Jets this year. They were helped massively by Williams going off early and Milligan having a brain snap tonight, but I love watching a team who's not afraid to play through a defense and Dimi Petratos is playing like an absolute gun. Good stuff.
