    And the complete lack of personality in the English men's cricket team really shows they were a guaranteed winner for Best Team at Sports Personality of the Year.

    They obviously showed plenty of 'good character' in order to take this prize out.

    Well, yeah, but it's always the problem with footballers where it's more of a career thing than a one-off event like winning a gold medal. Anyway, he did get PFA player of the year, so it's fair enough imo.
