I think if I tried to play rugby I'd come off the field after 2 minutes with two broken legs and two broken arms

I could walk to training from my dad's shop, also i wanted to play a winter sport

No, shoulder and knee injuries

Yes both


Do you care if your country or your province loses?
Depend to who, Australia to NZ yes. NSW to Qld or ACT yes. I don't care when Sri Lanka loses, cus they never win.

Not really


Does anything scare/ worry or stop you from playing rugby?
I've been knocked out a few times, but when you start playing you don't think about it.


Any other comment about what you may think stops or encourages people to play rugby?
When Lomu and Jonny are fully fit, that will encourage move people to play rugby. No one play is better then those two IMO.

Its just a great sport. My Dad actually got me into it, coz he was playing grade rugby when I was like 8, so I just went from there

Does anything scare/ worry or stop you from playing rugby?

Not really, but me and my mates always talk about the possibility of a biff this weekend, particularly if its a school we hate. I sometimes worry that these things get taken too far, and can lead to assaults before/after the game at the mall or in the city or wherever. Its happened before.

Any other comment about what you may think stops or encourages people to play rugby?

People are scared to get out there and give Rugby a real go. They worry that they will get hurt, so if they do play, they go in soft. What they need to understand is that the harder you go in, and the more ferocious you play, the less chance you are of gettig hurt.

No, it has no effect on my outlook of rugby.

Yes, the fact that anything can be broken at any time, like a hitup, tackle, ruck, maul or scrum can all land you in hospital.

A rugby player once said, "I've broken my jaw, arm, leg and all of my fingers, and I still think I could give it a good shake 10 years after retirement. But I wouldn't last ten minutes in rugby league."

Yes, naturally enough. That's true of any sport I watch.

Nah, I work in an office so any injuries wouldn't stop me from doing that. Worse luck....

i wasn't big enough at the time, since than i have injured my ACL and sports like Rugby, soccer etc are higher risk of injuring it again

The issue with Polynesian players maturing earlier and there being a large weight discrepancy between kids of the same age - puts a lot of parents off letting their kids play.

Because when i went to NZ we played maori's about 3 years older than us and they hurt me.... bad

The standard of play at the lower levels where the tackling technique is so poor injuries occur

I played every sport when i was in primary school and i made the rep team due to a sheer lack of numbers!

Depends on the importance of the game. Tri-nations or World Cup I care, otherwise don't care at all. Rugby league I care about every team around

Definately

The fact that my team sucks, will get smashed every week from beefed up catholic allboys schools

Lots of people don't play it because they will get knocked out every week and need to protect their "good looks". Some people however play only because all the "cool" people do
