Consistent early hits at the scrum from Ireland, but they get the penalty.
Apart from a 10-15 minutes of indiscipline it was impressive how controlled England were. A bit more luck and they'd have won by 10-15. |

Yeah, far from perfect and certainly not pretty, but a merited win.
Think we need more pace in the backs tho; looked a lot more dynamic when big Manu arrived.

"Big" Jim Hamilton gets his nickname from his size not his IQ, tbf.
Seriously awful game, it must be said. I enjoy a proper grind as much as the next man, but it was just bitty shyte. Joubert's reffing didn't help. Whistled for pretty much every breakdown and still contrived to miss at least three blatant knock ons too. |

Really weird call from the TMO on some obvious interference and the French try came from about four successive curious decisions in France's favour. Dunno if we can really complain having not scored for the entire second half, though.
