TBF, Les Calatans already have too many overseas players.
Does the visa crackdown still apply in Wales?
Looks like the end of Bird & Carney......
Anyway, they'd still probably need a working visa to play in England.
    5-0

    RIP Craig Walsh (Craig) 1985-2012

Carney is still a chance of turning out for Goulburn this season and the Raiders have already said if their first two choice number 7's are unavailable and Carney is fit and playing there than they would consider turning to him. Would be an amazing comeback if true but stranger things have happened.

Not entirely sure everyone at the Raiders would be thrilled with this outcome though.

From what I understand, all is not lost for Greg Eastwood, his old man was born in Huddersfield so he is the process of getting a British passport, but at that time he had to apply for a visa, but they said no. So I guess once he gets his passport, he can sign on with Leeds without any issues then?

Game between the welsh team and Wakefield called off due to "unforseen circumstances." Rumours vary from the general concensus that one of the players in the Academy game beforehand being injured and airlifted to hospital, to the slight embellishment that it's fatal, to the rather farfetched death of a first team player.

    Sounds serious whatever it is.

    Leon Walker dies

    Tragic.

Continuance of a shocking 6 months for Wakefield. Adam Watene dies in October, Richard Moore diagnosed with Crohn's disease last month and now this.

"The committee discussed the issue of illegal bowling actions, and believed that there are a number of bowlers currently employing suspect actions in international cricket, and that the ICC's reporting and testing procedures are not adequately scrutinising these bowlers."
    - Even the ICC's own official press release thinks things must change

Does the change in the Kolpak ruling mean that the Samoan's/Tongan's will be classified as overseas players next year?

Good question, actually. Honestly don't know.

There's never quite been the fuss around Kolpaks in league that there has in cricket tho, so maybe there won't be the will to force through a change.

UK deports Australian players - NRL - Fox Sports

Haha, whoops. For the legal minded, apart from deportation, what potential punishment etc. could the players face if they are found to have done the wrong thing?

EDIT: Heh, don't mind me, mis-read
