Australia competed for most of the first half, but that was a thrashing.
Let's be honest here

The Wallabies are a very average team with little depth and a mediocre coach who compounds problems by being a poor selector

To cap it all off, the game is run by arguably the most incompetent administration in the country which has squandered massive amounts of cash and goodwill without doing anything to benefit the game

Barring "the discovery" of a few freak talents, we'll be mired in mediocrity for the foreseeable future (i.e. years) as participation rates are in the toilet and those kids in pathway programs simply arent good enough

One of my mates is a former Waratah and he & his sons watched the AFL last night while a former teammate of his watched a rerun of Independence Day

Things are really ****ed when you can't get guys like that to tune into the Bledisloe

someone one day will compile a comprehensive "how not to run a sport" thesis of rugby from the 2003 wc onwards. amazing that they ****ed up that and every opportunity since so hard.

needless to say i didn't watch last weekend. haven't seen a game this year of brumbies either, first time in a long time.

The most absurd line of thinking is the final bledisloe match being played at the end of October in Japan. Utter stupidity. There's almost zero chance of the Wallabies this Saturday but what a good way of killing any momentum from the public if such a situation occurs.

How can they be this stupid? Who cares about growing the game in Japan? Its dying a rapid death here

Flicked this over five before half time. ABs terrific as always but Australia are embarrassing. Can’t even make a front on tackle. It’s woeful. Should all be in the Ben Walker sandpit for a year.

Aus played pretty well for the first 30 min..... but that is practically a mantra for every team that plays against NZ nowadays.

Bit unfair, but I can see how you'd come to those conclusions not having watched the first half.
They gave it everything defensively in the first half. It was inevitable that they would crack. A bit like last week really.

At the end of the day, our PM wanted it more. Or something.

Wallabies were at Social Jnr's finals day and Pocock was their waterboy for the second half

Dude is massive, could easily be mistaken for a bodybuilder and it's little wonder that he's so hard to move off the ball

Rob Simmons did the job in the first half and he looks like an endurance athlete in comparison

Both were really nice guys and helped to steer the boys home

As usual, the ARU ****ed up the promotion and there were only a few hundred people there as hardly anyone knew about it

How hard could it possibly be for the ARU, Qantas, etc to publicise this stuff with the budgets that they have?

Argentina were excellent last night.

They should beat Australia if they played like they did last night.
