Green and Gold is just a shocker. Only two of the yellow cards were for infringements.

If Cooper goes to Eels, wallabies are proper ****ed for the WC...and the Reds will die yet another death.

ARU would want to up there offer and up it now!

EDIT: pretty piss-weak of Cooper if he does go considering how the Reds stood with him over the last 3 years.

I hope he stays with Union.

Interesting article - especially his comments that Chris Jack spending time in SA was the key to a revamped AB line out.

Proudly against the bring back Bennett movement since he is injury prone and won't last 5 days.

Interesting to see Cooper considering going to league. Must be the first high-profile union player somewhere near his peak to defect to the junior code for ages.

    - As featured in The Independent.

"The committee discussed the issue of illegal bowling actions, and believed that there are a number of bowlers currently employing suspect actions in international cricket, and that the ICC's reporting and testing procedures are not adequately scrutinising these bowlers."
    - Even the ICC's own official press release thinks things must change

I'm not too sure what likelihood of his change in codes is to be, as both Cooper and the ARU have denied any switch in the immediate future anyway. From stuff.co.nz: "Wallabies X-factor Quade Cooper has revealed he wants to scale great heights in rugby union before considering any thoughts of switching codes. Despite a report his manager last week held talks with NRL club Parramatta, Cooper has told AAP he's determined to help the Wallabies to the 2011 World Cup and continue Queensland's Super rugby revival." Would personally doubt very much he'll be lost to league in the next couple of years.

Fair enough. Was reported in The Guardian yesterday tho and they're one of the more reliable English media sources usually, so assumed there was something in it.

I'd say it was just his manager playing the "negotiation time is near so bump up his value with a bogus offer from a rival code" game.

As for him being the next AB captain, fair enough, but that doesn’t mean he’s top drawer. Reuben Thorne? Todd Blackadder?

Think it's more to do with the ARU throwing trucks and houses at Giteau and O'Connor while only thrwoing cars and Houses at Cooper despite him being the standout player of the year.

But definitely an element of the "negotiation time, pay me or i walk to the other mob"

Maybe if they'd thrown a laptop at him last time his contract was up for renewal, he wouldn't have got into trouble...

That's spooky. Have literally no recollection of that post at all. However, I still stand by what I said about the 2003 semi.

Mea Culpa and all that tho.
