It seems a few players are missing from team selection list.
Like Jayasuriya and Dippenaar in the batting department for SriLanka and SA.
Is there a reason for that?

dontcloseyoureyes 11-02-2006 07:11 AM

I would assume that it's because those two players were not included in the squads for the last test series both of the teams played.

Sounds awesome. :)

Excatly, we go off the last series that the country played in as a guide, if the squad changes when it's announced we will add/remove the relevent players and you will be given plenty of time to make changes if you wish to.

Why is Andrew Symmonds a batsman not an all rounder?

marc71178 12-02-2006 04:23 AM

That is a strange one, since he's definitely an ODI all rounder, and is only in the Test side because of his bowling.

James 12-02-2006 04:35 AM

We'll make this change after the current series' have finished.

We can't make it now due to the managers have selected him as a Batsman.

GDR 12-02-2006 08:08 AM

Strange. I always saw Symonds as a batsmen and a part time bowler. Kind of like how Tendulkar or sehwag.

James 12-02-2006 05:20 PM

I wouldn't have called Symonds an all-rounder twelve months ago but with all the bowling he's doing these days he probably is one now.

If anyone else cares to agree/disagree feel free to post your thoughts.

marc71178 12-02-2006 05:22 PM

He's definitely one now to be fair - bowls very regularly in ODI and is only a Test player because of his bowling.

GDR 22-02-2006 01:25 PM

Are Jayasuriya and Dippenaar gonna be added to the List so they can be selected?
