This is like Spain-Netherlands in 2010. Pretty dire game but Portugal have shown that they can shut out the opposition very effectively. Sadly they possess zero attacking threat, especially now, without Ronaldo's ability to pull a goal out of nowhere.

It's a more even game than that imo. France shading it whereas Spain dominated.

Didn't Netherlands have the best clearcut chance though.. Casillas saved a one-on-one from Robben I think. And Spain didn't really create much.

Patricio has had a brilliant game. That was a cracking strike.

Yeah they created a lot of half chances and Netherlands had the big one. But the possession would have been like 75-25 and today it's nothing like that. Maybe more balanced would be a better description.

Sissoko is too fast for his own good.

I can't decide whether Sissoko has had a great or an awful game. Been good with dribbling, shooting etc. but his passing accuracy looks terrible.

Inches away FFS. Wish that had gone in. Yeah, France have definitely been the better side. But Portugal's resilience has kept them alive yet again.

Pretty poor game. At least France have tried to play football.

Portugal 30 mins from their objective. Such a ****** way to play the game.

I think if Portugal win this, they'll be the most underwhelming tournament winners of my lifetime. Atleast when Greece won, they beat good teams along the way and didn't need penalties.

This tournament is the final nail in the coffin for penalties, I would hope.

Portugal have only won one game on penalties tbf

Most tournament winners go to pens at some point on the way
