Happy enough with Sweden's win. Ibra immense in the first half and then went missing, not like him at all...

The thing is, you have to play the best you have, and England don't have a pacier and more predatory striker than Defoe, who brings back memories of a teenaged Michael Owen, in a way. So, if Defoe is fit, he will play.

Let's be realistic - given the talent currently available to Capello, if the right team is selected, England should qualify for the Euro finals. But don't seriously expect them to come close to winning the competition. They're just not in the class of Spain, Holland, Germany, etc.

I resent that.

Montenegro leading in Bulgaria at half-time 1-0.

Injuries really forcing England to scrape through the hole in the barrel. Lescott playing at the centre of defence now. Expecting a total bore-fest but always a chance of a goal with our back four.

I guess the logic is that he and Jagielka have played together a fair bit in the past.

Still have gone with Cahill, myself.

0-0 for my quid.

Clearly not going to be a goal-fest, but wouldn't be surprised to see England scrape a 1-0 here perhaps.

Thankfully no comments here about Rooney scoring away from home, or getting the away leg over.

Anyone see what happened to Walcott in the buildup to the goal?

Apparently so. He's gone to hospital for x-rays, fingers crossed it's just a sprain really. Depends whether his studs were in the ground or not I guess.

Sounds like England should have had this game won by now.

Anyway Bulgaria lost at home to Montenegro. So 2 wins for Montenegro who are the lowest seed in the group. Interesting.

Assuming the Cuckoo Clockers are the #2 seeds tho? They look white wee-wee, so it's swings and roundabouts.
