T20 Trial Match 6
CWC Trial XI B vs CWC Trial XI A The final match of the T20 mini-series kicked off with the B's needing a win to tie the series. Captain JD Hurricane took the initiative early, winning the toss and batting first on a flat track. Confidence looked to be falling in the squad after another weak start by the top 3 - but that would not be enough to deter Hurricane, who came out at number 4 looking like a man on a mission. Soon joined by du Toit, the pair took the attack to the A's, who were forced to use no less than 8 bowlers; putting on a stand of 70 in 7 overs - with both undefeated at the end. 3/150 was a good performance, but would it be enough to level the series? When Hunt struck early it looked positive for the B XI - but that was about the last time they celebrated for the day. The in-form P Spark again notched up a half-century, this time in just 35 balls; and, paired with game 4 hero DB Wayne (58* off 32), the A's sealed a dominant match and series. MOTM: P Spark Code:
