Lucky Eddie 11/69 vs South Africa at Bloemfontein
2nd Test
In the same match as Cloete's historic double hundred, Lucky Eddie pushed home the fight for the CW XI, with bowling figures of 5/30 and 6/39 in spells of raw pace. His wickets included Smith (twice), Gibbs, Kirsten, Kallis, Rudolph (twice) and van Jaarsveld. His bowling figures remain as the best FC match-haul for the CW XI.

Neil Pickup 6/39 vs India at Lahore
ATC
Batting first on a flat surface at Lahore, the CW XI managed to rack up a large 563 all out against the Indian bowlers. Tired from the time in the field, the Indian juggernaut of a batting lineup then took to the crease. Tendulkar (90), Dravid (88) and Laxman (77) contributed well in a total of 452 runs, but it could have been so much more. Pickup claimed Dravid, Ganguly and Sehwag among the prominent batsmen and ended with an amazing 17-7-39-6 on the dry pitch, tied with for the best FC and Test figures in a single innings. He went on to claim Dravid again in the second innings, taking 1/8 as the match petered to a draw.

Lucky Eddie 5/61 vs England at Taunton
3rd Test
Following a fruitless first innings of 0/88, Lucky Eddie had it all to do in the second innings for the CW XI, albeit defending 420 runs. Trescothick, Butcher, Hussain and Flintoff were four of his 5/61 in a brilliant spell of flat out pace and bounce from the old man. The CW XI ultimately won the game to take the scoreline for the series to 2-1.
