*Official* Under 19s Tour of Africa

South African Under 19s will take part in their first tour of CWLand and their first overseas tour since the Youth World Cup in Sri Lanka. A lot of pressure will be the South African, after a disappointing World Cup, where they failed to make it past the group stages.

CW on the other hand will be looking to build on successful series against England and New Zealand in past 12 months. But many supporters also felt that CW have underperformed recently considering the large number of Under 19 players playing FC cricket.

Both side will have a lot to prove in these inaugural 3-match YODI and Youth Test Series.

Fixtures

YODIs
- 7 October in CW Oval,
- 9 October in Fardin Qayyumi CC
- 10 October at Pickford Reserve.

Youth Tests

8th Dec - Only Youth Test v Zimbabwe, Harare
11th Dec - 1st Youth Test v South Africa, Petoria
15th Dec - 2nd Youth Test v South Africa, Potchefstroom
18th Dec - 3rd Touth Test v South Africa, Benoni

Dravid

International Captain
We should have a test squad and a ODI squad instead of using one squad for both.

When will the squads be named..
The South African squad should be named today from what the United Cricket Board are telling me.

But the Cricket Web Squad will be a couple days away. There is a couple spots up for graps, so we want to have a look at few players a bit closer while the Internationals are away.

Looking forward to this even if I'm not selected in the squad, should be good to see the next generation performing internationally. Hope I do get picked though.

Mamesh to lead CW

CW Under 19 Board would like to announce the following squad to take part in the Youth One Day Internationals against South Africa:

T Mamesh (Red) [c/wk]
NR Hancock (Colts) [vc]
SJ Burke (Colts) [wk]
S Jasotharan (Colts) [wk]
MJ Pitt (Colts)
NG Scott (Green)
JR Rodgie (Green)
N Dravid (Green)
CR Dwyer (Red)
PG Gundry (Green)
KJ Goughy (Green)
CD McKern (Blue)
AA Cameron (Green)

After success 3 match series against England during the off season the selectors have decided to stay loyal to majority of the squad that took part in the series retaining 8 players. Joining these players are Nick Hancock who rejoins the squad after missing the previous tour whilst on ODI duty, also retaining the vice captainacy. Joining Hancock as the new faces in the squad are Green rookies Rodgie, Dravid and Goughy as well as Reds' All Rounder Chris Dwyer.

A separate squad will be announced for the 3 Youth Tests, at later date. During the series that 12th and 13th men will released back to Development League and Grade Cricket.

PS: Hey Nick what email can we use to contact you about team discussions.

Oh dear...

Glad to be in the squad though, and congrats to all those new players, and everyone else that got in.
