Mork to play until 40 imo... at the speed he bats, he won't be wearing out any time soon

Cricket Web Win Series

In one of the most one sided matches in U/19 history, the boys from Cricket Web sealed the youth test series against South Africa, by demolishing their opponents by an innings and 219 runs.

Andy Cameron's heart sunk as his South African counter part won the toss and elected to bat on a pitch that seemed to have nothing in it for the bowlers. 45.2 overs, 94 runs and 10 wickets later, it appeared it was the perfect toss to lose.

An amazing spell of seam bowling by out of form Nick Hancock, with figures of 5 for 17 from 13.2 overs, ripped the hearts out of the South African XI.

The CW team replied with a massive 474 all out, with young Alexander going all over the park at just over 5 an over. Matt Currie was the most impressive, with Nitin Dravid not far behind, with an outstanding 125 from number 7. Alexander at one point was going at over 10 an over, as Luff, Malthus-Howell and Scott took him to the cleaners early on.

Matt Currie's patient innings lasted 275 balls, and showed he has a head on him well past his years.

The South African's then batted for the match .... without success, coming up 219 runs short from only posting another 161. Once again their batsmen were dominated by the CW bowlers, including Currie again with 4 wickets, and it appears they have a lot to work on if they are to save face in the last of the youth tests.

Man of the Match : Matt Currie [ 125 (275), 1-3 (3) & 4-41 (16) ]

Well done guys on a very comprehensive effort to win the series. Its great to see the younger members perform. But its also nice that guys like Hancock and Currie are playing to their potential. Lets go for a clean sweep in the next match.

EDIT: Match Archives updated and Tour of Asia announced
