But in saying all that some countries do fixture their U19 games so they don't clash with the domestic season and maybe that is something that the CWBCC and Under 19 Board can look at in the future. We just hope that seniors player and in particular captains, can start to back this tour a bit more and their players in it and we will look into the issued raised after the tour.

Yeah, Its not uncommon for A tours to happen in the middle of a domestic season. Precedent is there, especially in the subcont.

I doubt there's ever been an instance, at least not recently, where a player has played for England U-19's when he's been wanted to play by his county |

The CWBCC will not take action against any player who opts out of U-19 service in order to represent domestically and thus perhaps push a stronger immediate claim for Test/ODI selection.

I strongly urge ALL U-19 players, even those not currently selected, to state whether they would be happy to be in contention for a position on U-19 tours, stating specifically whether or not they would be happy to participate in on-season U-19 tours and whether or not they would be happy to participate in off-season U-19 tours.

its a bit early to be asking people to state whether they would participate in future on season tours, as it may be that they break into their dev league side between now and then.
For thos currently in the squad, i guess it boils down to whether they are willing to risk not getting back in their side when they return from the tour. |
