Intentions (ie what you hope to accomplish there. eg improved bowling): Open the batting and score big runs on a consistent basis, smash a few hundreds and finish with a good average. Also turn me arm over as a part timer should the opportunity arise but that's not important.

Was looking forward to going back to Texas and having another season there, but playing in Sri Lanka is something I don't want to miss out on

How does IPL affect this lot?

Players have 3 options:

1. Play only for their England/Australia team and not play IPL this year, sacrificing the money and such. (a la Morne Morkel)
2 Play a few games of IPL and then join their England/Australia teams, missing a few games at the start of the respective club season. (Is it 4 that's the minimum to get paid?)
3. Play all of the IPL, then play the second 1/2 (or 2/3 maybe) of England/Australia.

In the case of 2, if a player starts playing IPL, he or she may leave at any time to take up his/her contract in England/Australia. But upon doing so, the player may not return to IPL for the remainder of the season.
