Any clubs interested in loaning players or any players wishing to be loaned to get some playing time, please state interest in this thread.

Poor idea IMO.

Sides with weaknesses in some areas (fast bowling depth etc.) shouldn't be allowed to just get a player on loan from another club to solve their problems.

It happens. And the system has been in place for a few seasons now.

It's not like you're stealing players from another club. It's a deal that is made where a club loans a player to another club. In essence the player can get into some form for his home club, even though he/she is outside of the playing XI. Because unlike grade cricket, runs scored/wickets taken when on loan do count toward form ratings.

What happened to clubs being able to pick up one of a number of free players if they couldn't field a proper side? Surely Blue would qualify now, given that we've got about three batsmen in the side.

Everybody else complained at their getting gun players for nothing. Loans are fine.

This is actually a pretty good idea. I'm happy with what I'm getting from the Greens so far but maybe in the future I will use this feature.

So what about when a side is down to 10 players then?

Do they have to automatically forfeit?

Reds had a simialr issue a few days back and carried on without making it an issue.

Unfortunately Blue only had 10 players left standing. Green has agreed to loan Dubb-Lynch to Blue

It's hard not to make an issue of it when you have 10 players and need to field an XI.
