He said he was being sarcastic afterwards, I'd say that's good enough for me. Don't want this place to get too political.

EDIT: One should note, though, that sarcasm without smilies (or something similarly obvious) is never read as sarcasm on the internet.
Well, look, I probably should have been a little more cautious with my lip. The issue was just that I found it particularly ironic that it should be a Black player who found this "unfair", when Black in all likelihood would get absolutely nowhere near the guy, being fourth in line, and also having received the most bonus points for batting in FC last year (and probably would have got most batting bonus points in OD have we had that).

So. Apologies for speaking out of turn when in an official position. (Or rather, a more official position than captain.)

No, but it does seem unfair on some new sign ups that they're both a worse batsman and worse (or even non-) bowler than others.
In what way?? Everyone has the opportunity to sign up with different stats. We don't force others to sign up with a particular batting average. If one person signs up with a 38 average, it's lowered to 34. If another signs up with a 43 average, it's lowered to 39. There's still 5 between the two. It's not unfair on either party.

What's the highest you can sign up as? In terms of average?

We get contacted by email?

Email: hell_yes429 at hotmail dot com. I think I missed out the 4, when I signed up. So just for safety.

You didn't miss out the 4, actually. :)

It's only the captains of the five teams who will be emailing you, so if you don't want everyone to see it I can take it out and send it to the captains only.

I couldn't care less about what rookies we sign itbt. I still think it's wrong that Colts get first pick for both the best batsmen. Anyway, it seems I'm on my own here so I'm willing to let it slide.

So basically the trick is sign up with 100 batting and 12 bowling then.

Noted for future reference...

I get you point, but signing up with a batting average of 50, 100 or a 1000 makes no difference if its capped at 41 for rookies.

People can, and people don't. I really don't see the problem.

And if you sign up with a batting average over 45 and a bowling average under 22, you're going to end up with a batting average of 41 and a bowling average around 35. That's not a "super"-rookie. The system works.

Personally, if someone did sign up with those sort of stats, and I were Liam, I'd be a prick and reassign them with 40 bowling and 10 batting, TBH.

I don't mind the decision, is fair for mine, but your (hopefully not official) reason for that is terrible.

I never stated that we didn't have the best players (Cloete's one of if not the best in CW history) but you name me 9 batsmen in our side that are better than you or Mamesh. I could probably name 2. It's debatable if our side's even the best in CWLand, with Colts FC batting lineup now definately better (ours is pretty average bar Cloete) and their FC bowling unit has some pretty big names.

So sick of being vilified tbh. Especially by a board member of all people. If you hate us so much why don'y you kick us out of the comp.

But it is super relative to some people who sign up more realistically then end up being worse in both disciplines.

Specialists should be better at their specialist discipline than all rounders are.
