How 'bout this then?
1. MJ Pitt
2. JB Malthus-Howell
3. DP Towns
4. S Jasotharan
5. G Nayak
6. SJ Burke (wk)
7. NR Hancock
8. DK Rai
9. TV Weber
10. GM Thomas
11. KS Wright

Personally - and this is by no means official as I haven't yet discussed anything with the panel at all - I'd imagine it would be something more like this...

MJ Pitt
SJ Burke (wk)
G Nayak
DP Towns
S Jasotharan
JB Malthus-Howell or P Bharat (both have done well in the past, just not consistently)
NR Hancock
TV Weber
DK Rai
KS Wright
GM Thomas

Comley: Needs to sign in. Rai and Weber, I think, have better track records at FC level while McNamara and Comley have better track records in the OD game - at least from memory.
McNamara: Rai and Weber, I think, have better track records at FC level while McNamara and Comley have better track records in the OD game - at least from memory.
Bowman: Needs to sign in. Hancock will do his best to hold him out of the FC squad for as long as possible. Youngest lad in the squad so hasn't yet had too many chances to shine.
Fensome: Needs to sign in. Not yet impressed at FC level, although could compete for #6.
Das: Has never really taken his chances at FC level despite a number of starts and great OD form.
McKern: The most unfortunate in my opinion as he's extremely talented but he's in a squad full of also-extremely-talented fast bowlers. He'll definitely be given a chance to fight for his position, though, most likely when one or more of Thomas or Wright go off on international duty.

There's also the point that some of them may not be available at the start of the season. I'm pretty sure everyone that signs in will have their chance at some point, though.

Ah, the good ol' No.3 Spot. Personally prefer it more than No. 5 spot. Always more fun facing the fast stuff than the spinners.

TARGETS:
Try and make a mark on the OD game
Breach 1000 runs in one FC season for the first time...

I'll be in the nets, Thomas, Hancock, seeing as you guys are international standard now...How 'bout some practice..

It's the third season for the colts team now, yes?

Shouldn't be called the colts anymore hey .... haven't had that much of a player turn-around .... the squad is full of relatively experienced players.... should trade players to remain as a 'colts' team ... or change its name to something else

I initially thought hte basic idea of the colts team was to incorporate the new players in the system to make them into better players to trade off to other teams

I'm not expecting Fensome to show up as he was rather inactive last season. Hoping for Bowman but I'm still not sure if he'll be around either. We may end up having to consider looking for yet another seaming allrounder (it's becoming a sort of seasonal tradition now...)!

EDIT: I don't see the need to rename the Colts as there are Colts in a bunch of other leagues and they don't change their names - however I wouldn't object to renaming the Colts to the Mustangs, given they keep the ol' horse logo/mascot making sense. But for now I'm happy with Colts, personally.

I'm fairly chuffed I've been named in both Thomas's and Towns's teams there. I can't wait for the season to start and hope I can contribute a lot more this season on and off the pitch.

So did I, to be honest. I think two seasons is a good amount of time for a player to be in the Colts team if it is going to be used for getting new players into the comp. But there has to be a mix of old and new...

That's true .... and of the currnet 'named squad' how much is 'old' and how much is 'new'.

It would be fair to say that the colts have the greatest total of reassigning players ... and of that total of players, it is also fair to say that the greater population is 'well-experienced' people in the system.

Just some food for thought.

point being .... it isn't exactly a 'colts' team anymore, is it?
