    Cameron? Andrew Cameron?
Selectors stun nation with left field call up

A leaked e-mail dated from February has cast doubt upon the CWLand preparations for the upcoming Cricket World Cup, suggesting great disharmony amongst the selection panel. Dated February 14 and sent by co-chair Liam Camps listing his 40 preferred options for the tournament, Cameron does not feature.

    1. Brendon Goff
    2. Neil Pickup
    3. Ian Markus
    4. Liam Camps
    5. Chris Butler
    6. Nathan Hoy
    7. Ash Chaulk
    8. Xavier Rose
    9. Sean Fuller

    10. Dinu DeSilva
    11. David Kearsley
    12. Nath Patrick
    13. Callum Thompson
    14. Tom Halsey
    15. Mike Wilson
    16. Bryce Cunningham
    17. James Stedman
    18. Dave Watt
    19. Daniel Towns
    20. Sean Bennett
    21. Rob Dauth
    22. Alex Crampton
    23. Anthony Lezama
    24. Alex Blackman
    25. Shal Jasotharan
    26. Kyle Wright
    27. Tarick Weber
    28. Andrew Garven
    29. David Kennett
    30. Marc Robbins
    31. Thamba Mamesh
    32. Dylan Jellett
    33. Ben Wilshere
    34. Callum McKern
    35. Alex Feeney
    36. Nick Borcich
    37. Haakon Moerk
    38. Reuben Verghese
    39. Nick Hancock
    40. Rob Malone

Players in bold made the 15, and in italic the 25. As well as the startling pick of Cameron, the facts that Rose and Fuller missed out from positions 8 and 9, and that David Kearsley (11) and Bryce Cunningham (16) have fallen so far from favour are also of note. Does Camps have any say over the panel he purports to co-chair? Is the rug of power being pulled from beneath his feet? Was he just stoned? The truth is out there.

CHAULK SUPRISED AT BEING THE LONE KEEPER

WicketKeepers Ash Chaulk has admitted he was suprised that no other keepers were picked. He believes at a tournament like this players get injured, get tired and alround drop form. A heavy weight has been placed on Chaulks shoulders and hopefully he can break through. He was quoted "I havent had a rest day in a long time why do others get rotated". Hopefully someone else could take the gloves in a warmup game just to freshen him up after the chairmans trophy where he played every game and not performing at his peak.

That list has defenitly got some quality players on there but still very dissapointed to not be in 25 and further more not in squad. But WC is all about our country so go CW.

That list has been around for a while now...
Sreesanth said, "Next ball he was beaten and I said, 'is this the King Charles Lara? Who is this impostor, moving around nervously? I should have kept my mouth shut for the next ball - mind you, it was a length ball - Lara just pulled it over the church beyond the boundary! He is a true legend."

    Study shows: Patrick craves attention
    Claude Makelele

One look at that garbage that has been clogging up media outlets around CW recently and you'll find compelling evidence to support a theory of mine - that the general quality of news is inversely proportional to the percentage of it written by Nath Patrick.

Harsh, one could be forgiven for thinking? I beg to differ, and would go insofar as to say it's actually a generous observation. Mr Patrick's writing is the literary equivalent of bin juice. When Wilfred Owen wrote passionately in his acclaimed Dulce Et Decorum Est, one of the last lines of the poem, before being turned into anti-war propaganda, originally went as follows:

My friend, you would not tell with a consience freed
To children hopeful for their ignorance to cease,
The old Lie: You should have a read
    Of Nath Patrick's latest piece.

Of course, World War I was a crazy time and things got a little scrambled. Nevertheless, the rest of the poem is relatively unchanged, and contains powerful arguments for the death of Nath Patrick by firing squad. That said, one has to look beyond the symptoms of Nath Patrick's writing frenzy and look at the causes.

A glance at his hair, and one immediately understands. With more product than a room containing Kevin Pietersen and Michael Clarke, one can see what it really is - a cry for attention. I actually asked around and discovered that Patrick's childhood was not as rosy as his preferred cologne would have one think. As a teenager, he was routinely beaten up by a lone wheelchair-bound girl ten years his junior. Rather than being shown love and understanding by his father, he was often thrown into cage and dragged, behind his father's car, across hot coal.

What does this have to do with his writing? Quite simply, it exposes Nath Patrick's writing for what it really is: a desperate plea for attention. The content is largely irrelevant - one has to understand that Patrick's the sort of bloke who gets off to seeing his name in a miniscule column in the "Dating" section of a local newspaper.

So, next time you see an article written by Nath Patrick, take heed and try to read as little of it as is humanly possible.

The main difference between then and now is that hes had a great season at Green, which is notabely also the Dev league team that produced CWlands best pace bowler Nathan Hoy. The only question is who will be the next

Paddy Gundry in a shock switch to Ian Harvey-style medium pace as no one else wants the new ball?
