Dear Diary

Hey Mr Diary, Im stoked guess what? 4th day here, and I`ve already been recruited to one of the domestic sides. Im really quite grateful that selectors took a chance on a young guy trying to make his way in the toughest domestic leaugue in the world. Not sure I`ll get too many games though but it`s all good, I`m sure it will keep mum at bay for a couple weeks, like last night, she tried to make me watch this TV documentary called `When Kids drop out of school when they`re 17`. It was sick. Full of dirty grommits and he-bitches working the streets. I could have sworn though I recognized a few of the CW players though in that Doco....

...maybe not

Anyway I recieved the good news today after training when the same grizzled secretary of the first day came over, and said gruffly, `Your in CW Blue, dont stuff up!` shook my hand and left without another word. Couple of the Blue`s came over and said G`day and I got a few introductions, so that was good. But its hard to remember clearly, it all went by like a flash. After that however, a few members of Red and Blue had a few words concerning my selection, and which team was greater. Once again it was interesting to observe, but one point of notice was that near the Red`s nets, there semed to be a cheersquad of some description giving vocal support to the Reds pacemen. Chants of `Go Red!` and `Yeah, Go Red!`, were clearly audible.
However the discussion between the Reds and Blues kind of dissolved into nothing much, and both sides returned to their respective nets. I could hear the Red pacemen talking about Tacos or something a little later but I cant be certain....

A little later on a couple of the Greens also introduced themselves, they seem like a nice bunch of guys, and I haven`t witnessed one in any of the heated discussions yet. Anyway the day was closing, and I went back to get my kitbag and head home, but as I picked it up, a note fell off the top. `You is Blue, so I is going to be stabbing you soonz!` I hope it was a joke. I hope. Maybe I should tell mum, but no, she`d worry to much, put her off her cooking.
You thought that was interesting, wait till Steds breaks out his game day Pom-Poms....you will be scared for life :D

Yeah, you should have gone to Blacks, Ash is a specialist at training people to drop catches.

Day 5

Dear Diary

Today was game day. That doesn`t mean I played, because I didn`t but I did get to run a fresh pair of gloves out to Craig between overs. Went alright I hope. But anyway, it was an experience to savour forever. Sitting in the dressing rooms with teamates with a crowd of what must have been more than 10,000 really got the adrenaline rushing. The game was looking realy good too, with a century opening stand by Craig and StUEy who are my new role model openers. From then on however nothing seemed to go quite right but thats ok, it was a loss, but a fantastic day just to be in that atmosphere. I know if I ever do get a game, I hope that I can apply the same skill and comitement shown by those two sides out there today.

When I got home, mum asked me how the game went.
`Your team lost!? I told you you`ll never amount to anythig if you keep up this cricketing rubbish. First you dont get picked then your teamates lose! Your father and I cant support you and your cricket forever youngman. Oh and dinner will be ready at 7:00`
Mum`s not like other mums, I thought mothers were supposed to support their kids, even like them. Mum, shes just freakin scary.
Like ever since I left school, she started walking into the bathroom while I`m having a shower and asking me when I`m going back to school. Don`t you think thats freaky Mr Diary? Last night she had a spatula in her hand. Spatlulas scare me now.....

YEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEAAAAHHHH!!!! we got kenny!
excellent to see youll be with us mate. and as for the bowling, it may not be the fastest, but IMO its the best. and you must have been smoking something in that little bag liam gave you when you arrived here because i dont bowl 140s! my fastest ever recorded ball was at 140.8km, but that was when i was but a raw paceman without any control. i normally clock around the low 130s, being a fast-mediuim bowler.
great bowlers in the team include liam, halsey and adam amongst others im too lazy to name.
and our batting is superb as well! to make a huge influence in the team, field really well, that is perhaps the one place we seem to fail sometimes. feel happy to join me anytime you want (and bring your mums cooking... i need some good food). ill catch up with you sometime, lets relax and watch some movies and bludge a bit (and maybe talk some cricket :p )

Day...you know what, who cares, just call it 6th entry.

Dear Diary

A little while since I`ve written to you Mr Diary, Im sorry about that but a few things have happened. CW Blue have had 2 first class fixtures against green and came out with one win and won loss. The Blues batting strength was made apparent with some incredible innings, particularly Jason TooGOod`s century and a few others crackin 50`s. The bowling was solid if not spectacular, and the alround performance of Liam Camp in our last game was great, 60 odd runs, and 9 wickets for man of the match. Inspiring stuff. However Green had a particular gun batsmen in Cloete at no.3 hittting a century and a 60 odd in the same game. Watching from the dressing room is a great experience merely by watching, conversing and learning from the stars of the game. Some of their other habits are a little strange though. Unamed players (only unamed because I turned my head away as quickly as possible) seemed to have disturbing habits such as practicing the forward defensive stoke naked. Im glad I am yet to witness a sweep shot...could be dangerous to my mental health. However Im really glad to be in Blue, some great guys around, Nath Patrick in particular been a champ to me since day 1 in CW.

Mum cooked some real rubbish tonight. Some gooey noddles in a cold sauce that looked like watered down baby puke and tasted worse. I swear she`s loosing touch. She found some ABBA albums in the attic too, need I say much more...

oh and Lord, nice 64 off 90 odd balls in one of your games against us. You were just unlucky that you didnt get to face an over or 2 of my bowling, could have pushed for that 100!
