It's not Warner's lack of acceleration that's hurting Aus here, it's the fact that he can't get off strike.

Finch has scored 2 runs more than him off 11 less deliveries and it just stranded at the non strikers end.

As I type Warner finds the gap for four.

He's timed his 2 fours majestically but he's letting the shorter stuff go unpunished. 120k half trekkers on a true pitch should be thrashed. Looks a tad slow though

Or maybe he doesn't want to accelerate. He has seen what selfless service to the Nation gives him back. This is Sourav Ganguly 2007 WC syndrome.
I don’t think that’s it at all. He just isn’t upping the ante at all, despite trying

Yeah when he’s in good nick he hits that gap around point and cover all the time. Gone straight to the fielder half a dozen times so far already

Bangers must feel honoured to play Australia at a WC. Much as Australia did at the football version when we were privileged to play five times champion Brazil.

Bangladesh is the only team that has 4 players from the 2007 WC side (Shakib, Taza, Tamim, Mushfiq). They're the most experienced side. They've seen this many times before.

Mortaza seems to have hit on the fact that the best strategy to Australian batsmen is to bowl even slower.

Really weird shots by Finch and Warner today. No foot movement, just weird slaps looking for the fence. Aussies feeling the pinch of being behind the par RR one feels.

Don't get all the blabbering about pressure being built up. That's just how fast teams have looked to go in the first 10.

Jeez tha ball goes like a flying saucer out of Shakib's hand. No wonder he bowls those random non-turners.
