Munro squandering opportunities in the last two games after a good effort against Lanka. Once again a lot resting on Taylor and KW.

Rashid will play no part in the 2nd innings (precautionary). Annoyed that Nicholls didn't play today to get time in the middle. Bumrah will destroy Munro if Colin opens

Nice and clinical from NZ this time, though the absence of Rashid pretty much killed any chance of NZ being truly tested in the chase, Aftab's heroics aside.

Guess this is where the World Cup really "begins" for NZ, banana skin games done and dusted. Bowling wise pretty much everyone has contributed as some point, but batting wise you still get the feeling it's Kane and Ross carrying the side. Will be interesting to see if any changes for the India game, what a step up that'll be.

neesham bowled his "not great, but not completely taken apart" stuff ftr. afghanistans shot execution in the intial collapse was hilariously bad. fergusons first wicket during that period was also a dirty legside strangle.

boult and henry got fluke smashed/top edged by one of the openers. they both should have had him like 3 times each. guptill and cdg almost collided haha.

Nice, 3 out of 3 with pretty much everybody having contributed at least once in the 3 games so far. Sure they’re the three weakest teams, but you can’t ask for too much more than that. 3 out of 6 from here and we should be in business.

Now that we’re done with these matches we need to drop Munro immediately. Nicholls back in.

Yep, we have to stop pissing around now and drop Munro. This guy might have passed Ronchi in the all time how is he still in the XI scratching your head moments.

Did the business - yes we've only started against the three lowest ranked teams but you'd take our current position on top of the table any day of the week. A few other teams have fallen by the wayside in the meantime. Now just need to have a good day and beat India and we'll be sitting pretty.

There are a few recurring problems that we just end up shaking our heads at - Munro gifting his wicket, Taylor-Williamson running mixups etc. Fairly clinical though, and Ferguson is such an asset against the lesser teams.

Rightly or wrongly, they seem committed to Munro, at least for now. Can't see them suddenly bringing Nicholls in against tougher opposition when they could have selected him today.
