Nice series.

Hopeful for a spot in the Test squad after my recent dominate displays against current Test stars. :innocent:

Scheduling changed due to torrential rain
Triangular series scheduled first

Sri Lanka Cricket were forced to make an embarrassing U-turn on the eve of the Test series, following unprecedented rainfall in the northeast of the country, thoroughly soaking the ground at Galle. The rain is expected to continue for the next couple of days, but spare the southern and central parts of the country. Thus, South Africa have agreed to arrive in the country earlier, and the Lipton Triangular series will now last from 7 November to 17 November. The one-day warm-up has been moved to tomorrow, while the Tests will take place on 22, 26 and 29 November. The full, revised schedule is on the first page of the thread.

Smith, Wright called up in endless line of ODI seamers
No place for Dauth, Young

As Cricket Web XI continue their search for half-decent one-day bowlers, Kyle Wright has been recalled following his 37-wicket resurgence at the spearhead of a decen Colts' one-day season. There is no space for rookies Maina and West, but Black's returning bowler Smith, who took 39 wickets last season at the second-lowest average in the league, has been given the opportunity to show his worth. There were also renewed tickets for Clapham, Sriram, and strike bowler Gough.

On the batting side, there was no space for the two leading runscorers without Black contracts, Rob Dauth and Peter Young, as Green's youth was preferred in the shape of Nick Scott and Ben Read. James Stedman and Ash Chaulk retain the faith despite an underwhelming home international season.

Cricket Web XI squad: *Neil Pickup, Chris Butler, Ash Chaulk, Kingsley Clapham, Andrew Cloete, Alex Crampton, Sean Fuller, Kev Gough, Ben Read, Nick Scott, M Smith, G Sriram, James Stedman, Kyle Wright

Good squad, thought Young should have been picked, he was brilliant this year.
