Cricket Web Green impressed once again, though Sri Lanka made them work harder - once again, Rob Malone put on a huge score with 133, before Ruchira Perera hauled home a hat-trick that might just eke him into the side against Zimbabwe. With 295 runs to play with, the Green bowlers bowled with admirable patience, and even though Rose was taken for runs by Jayasuriya and Tharanga, the run rate got too high for Sri Lanka, who crashed from 146 for nought to 260 all out.

Zimbabwe rode on the back of an extremely patient innings from Stuart Matsikenyeri, who hit 65 not out off 122 balls after John Blain had taken them to a shocking position at 36 for four. Terry Duffin hit a typical 36, while Chappie Coventry disappointed in his 40. Scotland then chased down the total with ease, though Ryan Watson was extremely cautious in his 68.

India sliced through the Black bowling attack with ease, as Mahendra Singh Dhoni played himself into form with a stunning century. The concerns over Sachin Tendulkar's injury continues, with the Indian legend bowled by young upstart Harry Warwick for 12, but it did not stop India from piling on 294 for four and seemingly controlling the game. Indeed they were - their bowlers kept the run rate down enough, despite Alex Blackman's belligerent 67, to win the game by 40 runs despite only taking one wicket. The lack of penetration should be a worry before the big match, though.

A good spin effort from Nicky Boje eventually kept South African blushes inside, after John Davison had hit 64 to lift Canada to a healthy total. However, they collapsed to Langeveldt and Boje, leaving 170 to chase for South Africa. Despite two wickets from Davison, who emerged Man of the Match in defiance of the result, Ashwell Prince hit 55 not out to guide South Africa home.

In the final match, Arunava Das hit a splendid century against Bangladesh, which included shots all around the wicket. Fifteen fours and one six totalled 128, while Gary Nayak was slightly more subdued in his 85 not out; it still included a stand of 218 with Das. For Bangladesh, there was little hope in the bowling, and even less in the batting as eight batsmen were out caught. The only little upside was the disdain Tarick Weber was treated with in his first spell, but that came back to haunt them as Weber grabbed three wickets, all caught in the deep, to end with three for 66.

2 wins for Green is solid, Scotland never looked much of a challenge though they didn't give their wickets away easily we slaughtered them with the bat, well done to Rob on his ton. Sri Lanka were always going to be a much tougher test and Malone again showed just how good he is with another hundred, Scott also returned to some solid form. Rose went for a few runs but took 4 wickets to more then make up for it. Well done Greens :)

Dasa, you legend.

Weber, Nayak, Comley all did well to boot. Proud of you all! Nice to see our top order doing so well in recent games, even without our top three OD openers we still have batsmen making big scores!

Great work from Colts to beat both the WIndies and Bangla...

Great innings from Das especially.

Good work Hak.

Very interesting round of matches, good to see Xavier coming back strongly after being out on a hat-trick and being taken on early. Four wickets against Sri Lanka is a fine effort.

Malone in fine form, many other impressive efforts.

Just realised it says Scotland vs Bangladesh, instead of vs Zimbabwe. :)

Missed all of these, I think it's the CWXI's season this time. Albeit a rusty warmup against us, I think they're playing themselves into form. Pretty pleased with my performance in the match though. My highest score in OD's so far:D

The CW Red vs Pakistan match is to come right?

Good to see the Greens notching up the 2nd win, Malone is an absolute beast, as is Rose with the ball.

A composed knock of 89 from Adam Gilchrist put Australia on top against the Rest of Cricket Web XI, and a team total of 286-9 proved too much to chase. Nitin Dravid scored a pleasant half-century at the top of the order, but the CW batsmen generally struggled on a pitch that was progressively more difficult to time the ball on.

Ed Joyce was in full flow for England, as a relatively controlled run chase attempted to make up for some disappointing bowling earlier in the game against Kenya. The Kenyans recovered from 86-3 at the first ball dismissal of their captain, but 3 wickets for Liam Plunkett limited the extent of the recovery. Chasing 233, Joyce played the lead role, but pleasant cameos from Andrew Strauss, Kevin Pietersen and Andrew Flintoff accounted for a relaxed win.

It was the perfect one-day international innings from Shivnarine Chanderpaul, as the former West Indian captain opened the batting to the tune of 87 not out. Starting slowly and accelerating greatly toward the end, Chanderpaul masterminded a comfortable 8-wicket win over Ireland.

Pakistan failed to impress on a shocking wicket at Hobart, and Cricket Web Red capitalized with a hard-fought 4-wicket win. Tharmi Loganathan and Alex Feeney were superb in the early going, restricting the Pakistani strokeplay and sharing 5 wickets as well. Rich Edmunds chipped in with 3 of his own, following up from some excellent bowling by his new ball partner, Nick Borcich. Pakistan could manage just 185 all out.

Setting out to attack the meagre total, Mørk and Dobson perished early to Mohammad Asif. However, it would prove no shame, as the Pakistani seamer warmed up for the World Cup with a brilliant 5-wicket performance. The Reds did enough in between his bursts, though. James Stedman and Alex Feeney notched good half-centuries and laid the platform for a good win.

Nath Patrick displayed superb composure and control, and bowled the final over of the match for just 4 runs, to seal a dramatic 3-run win for the Cricket Web XI. It was a day when runs were at a premium, and an ODI career-high for Daniel Towns was crucial in a CW XI total of 226. Perhaps most unexpected, however, was the batting of debutant Andy Cameron. The seamer shared an unbroken 53-run stand with wicketkeeper Ash Chaulk, and crucially pushed the CW XI score from 173-7 to 226-7.

New Zealand chased promisingly, but Neil Pickup spun through the middle order to help toward the tight finish.

Phew, well played there Webheads. Towns played well for his 81 and was unlucky not to get the century. Pity the other batsmen couldn't go on with the starts that they pretty much all made. Am completely shocked by my 23* though, and my six. A bit lucky there at the end with the ball, but Pickup- what a star. Robbins bowled well too, while no one really bowled poorly, just lacked penetration.
