Damn. Looks like nobody really put their hand up on that day and went that extra bit further for the team. :(

Cricket, Lovely Cricket
As Bob said, no one really put their hands up.

There were lots of positives from the one day series and tour in general but there are lots of aspects we have to work at. I will do a detailed report. Till then people can come up with reasons for losses. Introspection right now will do no harm.

You'll Never Walk Alone
How extremely frustrating. I kept the runs down a bit, but only taking two wickets for the series is very dissapointing. I like the challenge of bowling at the death, but screwed that up with my last over.

Decent series fellas, a few positives out of it. Well batted De Silva. :)

Like everyone has said there was positives out fo this tour, with 3 or 4 debutants and most of them doing alright. The bowling was solid without Neil and the batting was okay but week in the middle order i beleive (eeekkk thats were i bat :()

But saying that the positives werent enough to get us a series win in either form. I tihnk we should have won the tests 2-0 and the ODI's 2-1 but to the Windies crdit they stood up in the pressure situations and played better than we did.

My (non-existant ;)) vote for man of the series would probably go to Hoy, although it's a difficult choice to make. Otherwise probably Morton.

My bowling at the death in the last game was a far cry from that of games one and two, 23 off my last two over is not good enough. It was a shame to only come away with the drawn test series after being the better team for most of the tour. DeSilva's debut has been a big positive to come out of this tour.

Disappointed with my efforts and the team especially considering the performances in the warm ups.

Hmmm double my career avg :) but still only about half of what it should be. Coach will you be doing personal reports of the series' OD and Test.

Cheers

dissapointed with my effort in the last match, should have hit the gas padel a bit more. anyway, not a bad debut for me and Halsey, but Nath could improve as always :D.

I will highlight some positives and negatives and not go into details of each player.

Goffy lead from the front which was awesome.

DeSilva showed potential in the opportunities he had in the middle.

Halsey is improving every day. Which can only be good for us for matches abroad.

Hoy was superb. It means a tremendous boost for us if he can carry on with the performance in the tour. He even showed the willingness to bat which shows great committment.

The bowling in the one dayers is a problem other wise in the sense we aren't taking wickets which means batsmen get more chances to score larger runs.

The batsmen have thrown their wickets and I have mentioned it on tour far too often. This series ought to teach us a lesson in this regard.

In the tests, Cloete, Kearsley, Mork and Goff showed maturity with the bat. Hoy against showed tremendous committment to bat. Mamesh didn't do too well but his 80 shows he has potential.

Bowling wise Pickup was superb while Hoy was a please to watch. Other bowlers couldn't do enough against a storng Windies resistance. Also the batsmen thowing wickets didn't help exactly.

What will happen when a Pickup and improved Halsey bowl in tandem with batsmen showing more maturiy and a more disciplined effort from other bowlers? Yes we have the potential to have a quality side but we wont get any thing easy as shown by this series.

I enjoyed the work at the camp and tour. Thank you for the support.
