The CWBCC is proud to announce that the Cricket Web 'A' Team will tour India and Pakistan this offseason. In an effort to improve the quality of spin and pace, as well as the proficiency of our batsmen, these venues have been chosen.

The team will first head to India, where it will play 2 "Tests" and 3 List-A matches against the India 'A' team. There will also be two First Class warmups and one List-A warmup on the tour.

Upon completion of the series, the team will head to Pakistan for 3 "Tests" and 3 List-A matches against Pakistan's 'A' Team. There will also be an additional 2 FC matches and 1 List-A matches.

The squad for the tour will be named shortly, as it is still being handled amidst heated discussion - so difficult are the decisions. The schedule will hopefully be announced within the next 48 hours and we await the naming of the Indian and Pakistani 'A' squads (<- any volunteers?).

More news as it arrives.

Wow, alot of games to be played there. Should be interesting to see how it goes, and if our batsmen improve.

should be a great series guys. Although I had a dissapointing year with the bat in 4d last year I was on the verge of 4 day selection (well at least talked about) for the CW selection at the beginning of the year. Hoping for a bit've faith from the selectors and they give me a 5 day go.

Ian :(

Well yeah, I'm looking forward to this, really hoping I can sneak into the squad.

Otherwise, I think it will be a huge experience for the people chosen, CW is clearly lacking class spinners, this should give some of the youngsters coming through the system enormous experience and confidence.

There are 4 Dev League sides, plus the CW XI and CW 'A'. So presumably if the CW XI has 2 top rate spinners, the CW 'A' wouldn't have any...

i certainly think Halsey will be touring, Weber would also be likley as the 2nd spinner.
Surely Halsey will go with the Main Squad? Meh, all will be revealed... :)

i dont think they are touring at the same time, could be wrong though. behind weber there arn't too many spin options, Lord maybe? or Markus's Part timers?

Dave Richards' spin isn't half bad, either.

And yes, the senior tour is a month later.

We have two top rate specialist spinners - Neil and Halsey... who else? :-O
Performance wise, recently, our spinners have been excellent and the seamers good.

The problem area is the batting.
