With the new points system, we also get our first ATP 500 tournament. My understanding is that players can have a maximum of four 500 tournaments counted to their rankings (the top four if they play five), but I could be wrong here.

Understandably, Rotterdam is stacked and will have the lowest cut off of all this week's tournaments. Expect around 60. Costa do Sauipe and San Jose will be anywhere between 90 and 100.

Or out lesser ranked players can take in picturesque Bergamo. Oooh.

Don't think so.

Davis Cup counts as one of the 500 though.

Not competing this week - will do some more rebuilding work after a tough last season.

And Monte Carlo?
Monte Carlo counts as 500, but with double points.

And top-30 players (that's Drake, Smeltz, Mustard and I) have to play four of the buggers. Monte Carlo counts here too, but Davis Cup doesn't, so if you play Davis Cup and three 500 tournaments you get one 0-pointer.

Mustard tentatively nominates for ROTTERDAM for both singles and doubles, unless Davis wants to play somewhere else.
