Delighted with my first career title, will enjoy the rest this week before going to England to prepare for three weeks of sightseeing and inevitable first round losses at Queens and then Wimbledon.

Davis Cup Update

CWLand handed tough German trip

CWLand's Davis Cup side has been handed a difficult task in the Davis Cup by BNP Paribas World Group playoffs after being drawn to play Germany. With a spot in the Season II World Group up for grabs, CWLand will be forced to beat the second seeded Germans in Bremen. Nominating the indoor surfaces in Bremen as the location for their home tie, CWLand will be forced to make some difficult choices with two of their top three players regarded as clay court specialists. The German side were left to fight for their World Group spot after losing to Austria back in March two points to three. Meanwhile, Germany find themselves with three players ranked inside the world's top hundred. In other clashes, Argentina will host Australia in Buenos Aires, Israel will host Great Britain, and France will host Belgium in Stasbourg. The playoffs will take place between 18 September and 20 September.

Hard court specialist here, though I expect to be well outside the singles rankings; and with the form of Korpinen and Drake, I'm not convinced that I'll be in for the doubles gig either.

Surprised Mustard stayed at 32 with a poor performance. Agree with Davis, don't think Mustard has much chance in the singles, and we probably won't get a gig in the doubles. Hopefully I can go as a hitting partner though. Would love to experience Germany.

Delighted to be top 20 for the first time. Will be interesting to see what line up we go with for Davis Cup, although I haven't played in a double tournament, would hope that my doubles performance in our last David Cup tie could get me a gig and we stick with a winning team.

Doubles race looking pretty tight, extremely happy to be in third. Hoping Drake and I can continue our good form. Hopefully we merit some Davis cup action too.
