CWLands journey to International football maturity took another step forward today as they clashed with European opposition for the first time.
CW entered the game unbeaten in International football and were certainly facing their toughest task yet. The opposition was an experienced Iceland team which included, Barcelona superstar, Eidur Gudjohnsen. CW had promised a more dynamic brand of football than the dour offerings of earlier performances on the global stage. Congrats to Mitchell and Comley for making their International debuts. Not a good result, obviously. Still not quite on the world top. We were lucky they left Veigar Pall Gunnarsson out though, Gunnarsson and Gudjohnsen would have been a scary pairing.

Probably my worst game in the Grey. The lack of possession didn't really help our cause. Lot of work to do for the next international.
