    Seeing as Howe picked up a batsmen, I don't see the need for trades as I think the squads are quite balanced now. I only suggested it in the event that Howe's team was left essentially a batsmen short simply because of a timing issue.

    However that being said, if trades were to happen, the way you suggested should be the only way it happens.

    If there are no major objections to the concept, then I see no harm in making trades optional - again, it will dependant upon agreeance of all 3 parties, so no-one should be left aggrieved by any potential trade.

    Yeah, let teams trade as much as they like before the season starts IMO, as long as the players involved agree to it as well. Whether it's necessary isn't as much the point as whether it'd cause any harm if every involved wanted it to go ahead.

    My only fear is that unlimited trading undermines the process of the draft, hence my suggestion of a limited number of trades.

    TRADE WINDOW

    The Trade Window is open for 48 hours from this posting (1500 AEST, 0500 GMT Sunday - 1500 AEST, 0500 GMT Tuesday).

    ALL trades must be agreed upon by;

    (a) team captains involved in the trade
    (b) player(s) involved in the trade
    (c) ratified by the CWCA following both (a) and (b)

    If agreement by both the captains and the players involved is not posted by the closing of the trade window, the trade will be declared void.

    Trading is optional, and any or all teams may wish to abstain from the process if they wish.

    Teams are limited to a maximum of 3 trades each.
