Cricket Mail - Closure

James

Cricket Web Owner
Cricket Mail Users,

Cricket Web is currently undergoing a period of reviewing all assets of the site and as a result of this process we have taken the decision to remove Cricket Mail from the website. The reasoning behind this decision this is due to a large decrease in active members and a period of large upcoming expenses in server and licence renewal fees making the site economically unviable to retain.

We appreciate your loyal support and know that some of you have been with us since the beginning and again thank you for using the service.

We don’t wish to just remove the service completely overnight so have developed a shutdown plan that is explained in more detail below and should allow you plenty of time to find another service.

Cricket Mail will close to new users immediately. Current users will then continue to have access to their Cricket Mail e-mail through the current method until 26th August. Following this, we can provide your account to you for a period of three months through a POP method which you can access through Outlook or directly attach to a Gmail account. If you would like a POP account setup for you, please notify us with this request prior to 26th August. Please note that emails that are currently in your account will not transfer across to your POP account.

We can also provide at any point (e-mail us a request) a back-up copy of all your messages in Excel format, but would advise users to transfer important messages to an alternative e-mail account as well through forwarding those emails.

We would like to take the time to apologize for having to terminate the service and thank you for your continued loyal use of Cricket Mail over the years. We hope that this move will not cause you too much inconvenience and you will continue to enjoy our other products and services.

If you have any questions or require any technical support please contact a member of the team below who will be happy to assist you.
