Warm-up matches

Sri Lanka vs Pakistan

The Cleethorpes pitch gave some great twists and turns to this match,Pakistan batted first and after Inzamam made 68 and Wasim 71 they slumped to 156 all out but that could still be a challenging target on this varying sand.

40's from de Silva,Kaluwitharana and Jayasuria left Vaas needing 22 runs off 24 balls and he got this with only 13 of them.

In summary
Pakistan 156
Sri Lanka 158/3
Sri Lanka win by 2 wickets
MOM:Jayasuria

West Indies vs Australia

A much anticipated match Australia batted first and after 121 from Bradman and a good rear-guard and in the end match saving effort from Shane Warne making 45 off 21.
Lara took guard for the Australian bowling and made a good 44 of just 15 balls,Jacobs made 59 off 24 but Richards fell making only 7 at a Strike Rate of 200,Ambrose made a resiliant 66 but fell 5 runs short when the 80th ball was bowled,in summary

Australia 187
West Indies 183/3
Australia win by 4 runs
MOM:DG Bradman

Kenya vs New Zealand

At Skegness the ball was not moving in the air or off the seam and it was a joy to bat on as Nathen Astle showed making 41 off 19 before being run out by Cronje,Parore made 14 but a great delivery from Streak got him,Cairns made 32 off just 14 but played a silly stroke and gave the ball straight back to Streak! At 87/3 New Zealand were in trouble but a inspiring 63 from Hadlee gave some hope to the Kiwis.

Chasing 151 D Jones came in and was stumped by Parore second ball for 1 leaving "Jack" Russell in at a important situation but he went for 19 to Hadlee but Cronje was a proven batsman but also made 19 leaving Kenya at 40/3.Heath Streak made a entertaining 39 to set Damien Fleming 72 off 30 balls he survived the whole innings but only made 37 and New Zealand won by 34 runs,in summary.

New Zealand 150/3
Kenya 116/3
New Zealand win by 34 runs
MOM:H Streak 39 & 2-54
