They've done it!

Rob F. Clark bursts on to the pitch and hugs AJ Hughes, this NE. Lincs side has been the best for some time now but this is amazing, 3 Matches to Nil. The 3rd title under this manager and more importantly, the 3rd in a row! St.Vincent never stood a chance after being bowled out for 31 in 33 balls, and then Hughes knocked off the runs in just 14 balls. Clark retires this year and what better tribute than to LIFT THE INTERNATIONAL TROPHY!!!!

Will NE Lincolnshire win 4 times in a row next year? It's more than likely.

The winner of the 2013 International Beach Cricket Trophy is North-East Lincolnshire.

A great innings from AJ Hughes brought Barbados to it's feet, 209 from 80 balls with Chamad Hough, the Lahore all-rounder getting smashed for 53 off his 16 balls. Lahore attempted to hit back, and failed horribly, bowled out for 35, Eakim-Vash Arthur the opener, top scoring with 27. North East Lincs have a supurb bowling attack.

Natwest were dissapointed not to keep the sponsership for the semi-final, and hopefully final but British Airways won the battle.

Kolkata beat the West Indian champions, Guyana, to set up a semi-final clash with NE Lincs, Johannesberg and Canberra will meet in the other match.

Aisham Mongia elected his Kolkata team should bat and it was opener, Mehra who made the top score of 42, but his team could make just 85 and gave a simple target for NE Lincs, and despite an early slipup from Hughes, 75 from Wishart was the main score and Docherty guided them home with an unbeaten 8. For the 4th year in a row North East Lincolnshire were in the Final!

Canberra won by 4 wickets against Johannesberg to move into the 3 match final against NE Lincs, the Ashes of Beach Cricket!

MRF coudn't retain their bat contract for the finals and Woodworm were happy to jump in and secure the NE Lincs contract.

Coming Up: The final.

The 1st Final

Hello and welcome to Barbados for the first final of the World Beach Cricket Trophy: North East Lincolnshire vs Canberra.

Before the match we will look at the kit being used by the 2 teams, Canberra are wearing a red shirt with white trousers , the kit has been produced by Fila, the italian sportswear brand, and are sponsered by Cricket Australia, the bats have been produced by Slazenger.

NE Lincs are wearing Blue and white shirts with blue trousers produced by Adidas with the plane of British Airways sponsering them and Woodworm bats helping them with their runs.

Firstly ,the squad of the defending champions, arranged alphabeticly.

Jay Craddock (11) Captain. Allthough still in Primary School, Craddock is a pacey bowler who over the last 2 years has developed his batting a lot. He averages 25 with the ball, a great achivement in the batsman favoured game of beach cricket, he should be captain for the next 3 years.
Peter Docherty(14) The oldest of the squad, Docherty is a batsman with some handy off-spinners, he comes in at Number 3 and has pulled out many important innings for the NE Lincolnshire boys, and he hopes to cross 50 matches if he plays them all in the final series.
AJ Hughes(9) Already with a World Championship under his belt, opener Hughes averages over 100 in 29 matches. One of the most talented Beach Cricket players in the world, AJ is set for atleast 4 campaigns in addition to this one, a legend in the making?
Joe Jefferson(8) The young all-rounder is yet to play a game for NE Lincs but with some training he could be come a star.
Kenny Kirton(11) A young player who the manager doesn't seem to have much time for, with some precious training he could turn into a good player.
Bobby Paine(10) A talented batsman who played in many matches last year and the season before but has recently struggled to make the team. Blonde Bobby has recently developed a nickname between the older boys of "in the ass". The manager is reported to want him to develop to challenging the regulars in the team.
Andrew Snell(8) An amazing batsman and bowler, the number 4 in the order has played just 13 matches and has a best bowling of 4-34, his SR of 30 and batting SR of 170, makes him one of the most dangerous players in the world, if the team gets into injury difficulty he can bat anywhere in the order and still deliver his bowling if required.
Kevin Wishart(12) The hard-hitting batsman with a SR of 198, Kevin has piled up runs in his career so far and has made many important innings for NE Lincs, his average of 72 and 4 centuries shows what talent he has, his top score of 150 came after a first ball duck from the opener and many a time he has reduced or even eradicated a task for the lower order batsmen.

Coming Next: The Canberra team and opening overs.

Well unfortunately we will not have time for the Canberra team as the starting time has been moved forward half an hour because of the possible slow over rates on what has turned out to be one of the hottest days of the year here in Barbados.

Live today we have presenting to you:

Mark Nicholas
Richie Benaud
Curtley Ambrose
Bob Willis
Ravi Shastri
Brian Lara
Ian Smith
Simon Hughes
Courtney Walsh
Steve Waugh

3 Englishmen, 2 Australians, 3 West Indians, 1 Indian and 1 Kiwi will provide a mix of views for these 3 matches.

MN: Now let's have a look at the pitch with Ravi Shastri and Curtley Ambrose.
RS: It is a very hot day here today which won't make it very nice to play in, but I'm sure the players will, as allways enjoy playing cricket.
CA: The sand is getting very hot so runs will have to be taken quickly and certain places on the ground will be easier to field because of the shade.
SW:Now it's time for the toss with the 2 captains and Ian Smith.
IS: It's a warm day here today so let's join the 2 captains, Jay Craddock of NE Lincs and Roger Daley of Canberra.
Jay, you will call.][/COLOR]

Well unfortunately due to inclement weather, gales of up to 80 mph+ are swirling round, there will be no play today, the match will instead be played tomorrow.

Now we will have a look at highlights of the 2005 Beach Cricket World Cup, which of course took place in India and Sri Lanka.
