So it turns out he is rubbish in ICC 2008. I am playing as Australia and since it looks like he's going to be a big part of the side in future in real life, I would like to have him rated accordingly. But I don't know what I should change his stats to with the editor? I have changed his aggression to 'Aggressive' and made him an opening batsman, also he is listed as a spin specialist which I'm not sure about... seems to play pace pretty well, very good against the new ball. So I changed that to slight spin preference.

But to anyone who has used the new editor, where batsman are rated between 0-2000 or so, where 1100 is probably a good domestic batsman and 1500-1600 is a good international batsman - what is a reasonable figure for him, keeping in mind he is 19 years old and will obviously improve a lot? I have no idea how much he will improve over several seasons of technique so I don't want to make him like 1300 and have him reach 1800 or something.

From my experience, around 1500 is a very good Test batsman - with an average in the 50s.

And any idea how much someone would improve with technique over a few seasons? Or what I should make him?

I haven't really got far enough in my game to find that out myself yet, sorry. Hopefully someone else has.

Slight pace bowling, slight front foot and slight off side imo. Openers with spin bowling preference usually don't have a great amount of success.
