Yet to play any first team games, but is looking sharp in the second team with 7 wickets from 3 games. Will probably challenge McMahon for the second spinners spot, as and when he gets a game.

will post results when i get the pics uploaded.

Your ODI batting last year, apart from Gallian, is woeful.
Yea it was pretty shocking tbh, might improve this year with the introduction of some young faces, but i tried that last season and it didn't really work.

First Match vs Middlesex.

Middlesex never really in the first innings, a few starts from there batsmen but Reid and Shreck really leared any worries up.

A solid opening partnership really got thi innings going, but a few regular wickets from the middlesex bowlers kept them in the game but the partnership of Cranshaw and Kempston took the game away from Middlesex. 3 good fities from Reid, Ervine and Moore.

Sidebottom and Shreck cleaning up most of the Middlesex lineup, Reid and Ervine with some good wickets. Dalrymple the only major resistance in what was an easy win.

Nice, that's a strong Middlesex team and you've thrashed them (well, those players are superb against me in ICC 2005, don't know about 2006).

Cranshaw looks a good young prospect.

Cranshaw looks a good young prospect.
Yea he does. It took him a while to get going last season but really came into his own near the end of the season an was one of the main contributors to the good run we had. I hope he continues 'cause we desperatly need to win something this time round.

OD match 1. Notts vs Durham.

Never really in the game, losing 3 quick wickets we looked n lots of trouble. A mini partnership between kempston and hussey kept us in the game until hussey was bowled by bridge for 28. Other players got starts but never really looked like they were going on to score big. A harmison hat-trick to remove the 3 tail enders really summed up a bad day.

Durham got off to a good start and the first wicket came too late for Notts to really get back into the game. Richard Reid again in the wickets with 1/22 off his 7. Footitt showed his promising talent with 2 /49 off 8.

FC match 2 Yorkshire vs Notts.

We got off to a decent start even as Vic Holmes was bowled for 22 by Thornicroft. Husseys ton and Kempstons 75 gave Notts a decent 1st innings total.
A steady flow of wickets and some economical bowling from the Notts bowlers Shreck, Footitt and Reid gave the away side a 2 runs 1st innings lead. Wood top scored with a fine 82 for yorks and he really looked dangerous until bowled by shreck.
An excellent opening partnership from Moore and Holmes started the 2nds innings off nicely. when moore fell lbw to hoggard, Hussey continued the good work with a fine 135. Nobody else really contributed adn the last 5 wickets fell for under 20 runs.
2 early wickets from Sidebottom put notts on the front foot. Another fine bowling performance from reid and sidebottom kept Notts on top but a fighting 89* from pyrah gave Yorks a draw.
Although Hussey was awarded MOM in the game, i think Reids 7 wickets was also a fine contribution in a match which Notts should have won.

FC Match 3. Surrey v Notts.

Cranshaw

Shreck(2)

Toss. Notts - To Bat. Pitch looks decent for early batting will probably deteriorate throughout the match.

After a dodgy start at the top of the innings Notts recovered with a partnership of 143 between Hussey and Cranshaw. Hussey managed 111 off 175 balls and Cranshaw 121 off a slightly more defensive 255 balls with only 12 4s. Moores 30 at the tops of the order was the only other innings of note. Surrey stayed in the game with a steady flow of wickets and a 4 wicket haul from anderson restricted the visitors to 366, which seemed a decent total on what looked like a bowler friendly pitch.
Surrey got off to a good start with an opening stand of 107. Economical and accurate bowling from Reid and Sidebottom kept the home team to 382 all out. Reid finished the match with 6 wickets and surely if he hadn't taken as many the surrey first innings could have been much larger.
The notts 2nd innings seemed to be a mixed bag. With 2 early wickets, notts semed to be in a bit of trouble. But 2 50+ partnerships by Holmes+Gallian/Holmes+Cranshaw restored the notts side to a decent position. Vic holmes managed a watchful 79 from 179 balls with nobody else reaching the half century mark. Cranshaw was looking good but was bowled early on day 4 by Mahmood.
The surrey 2nd innings was pretty uneventful with them choosing to bat out the overs. Charlie Shreck claimed the only wicket of that inningsas he bowled Gould for 4.

FC match 4 - Notts vs Glamorgan.

A steady flow of wickets in Glamorgans 1st innings restricted them to a total of 258. Reid starring with 6/75 off 33.
Notts got off to a shaky start with moore and naylor falling LBW to Davies. the recovered with a decent partnership between Hussey and Ervine but the tail was not wagging today.
Glamorgan got of to a good start with 106 for the first wicket. A half century by Grant and a ton from wallace really put the welsh boyos into the driving seat. The spinners really worked hard today with Reid Taking another 4 and McMahon taking 3.
Another poor start with Naylor caught behind off the bowling of Davies. a decent partnership followed but further wickets never allowed Notts to get into the game. Moore tops scored with a fine 59.

OD match 2 - Notts v Lancs.

Team
Moore

Gallian*
Ervine
Kempston+
Reid
Footitt
Sidebottom
Harris
Shreck

On what lookde like a bowler friendly pitch, Notts chose to bat first. We got an early breakthrough as Shreck bowled sutcliffe for 14. but the next wickets were hard to come by. Reid who had been bowling well in the FC matches so far this term did not have as much luck and only managed 1/31 off 6. Charlie Shreck was the pick of the notts attack with 3/35 off his 10.
Notts got off to a very good start losing there first wicket after 113. The lancs bowling attack was far too accurate for the boys to score many runs and although there was a late surge in the last 5 overs, we could not reach the target that Lancs had set. Jason gallian went for the big one of the last ball but missed and was cleaned up by chapple. Well Played Naylor and Hussey contributing 67 and 62 respectively.
