Ive got an awesome side at the moment for Lancs and England and after another landslide victory over Indiai i thought i share it, everyone should post up their current sides as well.
England 2041:
1. Alan Eaton (28, RHB): 80 Tests, 8048 runs @ 78.90
Agressive opener, holds test match record with 411
2. Alan Daly (26, RHB) 9 Tests, 968 runs @ 107.56
New boy, scored 5 centuries in 11 innings
3. Barry Leaburn (26, RHB), 58 Tests, 4286 runs @ 63.97
Mr. Dependable, averages 85 at County level
4. Robert Garside (26. LHB) 87 Tests, 7754 runs @ 75.28
The most gifted batter in the side, averages a century every 3 completed innings
5. Graham McLeod (29, RHB) 105 Tests, 9605 runs @ 73.32
Most Experienced player in the side, seen it all
6. A Fogden(22, WK, RHB) 36 Tests, 1532 runs @ 43.77
Young Keeper, already with 4 centuries to his name
7. A York (31, LHB, SLA) 80 Tests, 3310 runs @ 46.62, 145 Wickets @ 32.68)
The old man of the team, struggling to justify his place in the test side as their are better batters and he's bowled just 38 overs in the last 2 years{/I]
8. P Birchall(20, OS), 8 Tests, 44 wickets @ 12.57
Most promising spinner to emerge in years, handy with the bat aswell
9. A Cleef (28, RHB, RFM) 59 Tests, 1289runs @29.30, 330 wickets @ 16.87
Lethal with the ball and dangerous with the bat, if he were an Aussie he'd be an all rounder
10. Andy Osborne (28, RF) 76 Tests, 257 wickets @ 19.34
Came on to the scene at the same time as Popplewell, unspectacular but explosive, especially in ODI's
11. Morris Popplewell (27, LFM) 83 Tests, 538 wickets @17.15
The Golden boy when he burst on to the scene, has an awesome record, even if people think he could do even better.
Thats my current first XI, the Alan Daly is currently in the side as my other regular opener, (J Whitehead, 8408 runs @ 61.37) is injured but on this form he'll keep his place. S Yates( 1096 runs @ 78.29) sometimes plays in place of York. Birchall made his debut last year and is currently keeping A Clews(336 wickets@18.20) out of the side.
In ODI's my batting isn't that great, 3 batsmen average over 50 (including Leaburn 2803 @ 75.76) and the rest average 40-50. My bowling is phenomenal though, with Osborne(185 @12.05), Popplewell(221@13.93), G Orton (111@14.34), Clews( 117@14.56) and Cleef(158@15.92) my front line attack.
This recent game against India emphasised the quality. What are everyone elses current sides like?
