    World Twenty20 XI

I'm sure there have been plenty of posts like this, but I'm bored as hell, sorry.

If Earth (as reigning Universal Champions) were to play Rest Of The Universe in an intergalactic Twenty20 match, who would make up the World XI? My choices:

    1. Shahid Afridi
    2. Andrew Flintoff
    3. Sachin Tendulkar
    4. Adam Gilchrist (wk)
    5. Virender Sehwag
    6. Andrew Symonds
    7. Ricky Ponting (c)
    8. Abdur Razzaq
    9. Shaun Pollock
    10. Chaminda Vaas
    11. Muttiah Muralitharan

Why not pick the Rest of the Universe line-up?

    That would be more original.

On reflection, the Universe side more or less picks it itself, so I'll have a go at Earth (I'm equally bored):

    Gayle
    Trescothick
    Sehwag
    Tendulkar*
    Gilchrist
    Flintoff
    Afridi
    Pollock
    Vaas
    Murali
    Harbhajan

Alien would certainly be an aggressive opening bat, and with Skywalker at no3 finding the gaps, you can't go wrong - presumably Yoda would keep wicket?

    How Come Anakin's the captain?
Seeing as it's twenty20, could Chewbacca be playing and opening the batting?
Are the two at the end the same person/alien/thing?
IMO E.T is the star player, as using those extremely long index fingers, he can spin it more than Murali

How can you find two neutral umpires? If you're not from Earth but you exist, you're from the rest of the universe. No?
