Inspired by another thread, I figured I'd dedicate this thread to the members' stats and records playing in clubs, etc. Here are some of mine, if i can remember them right:

Bowling: Matches - 215
Wickets - 290
Econ. rate - 5.5
Two hat-tricks (more luck than skill)

Batting: Too embarassing to mention :p

I always found it tricky keeping wicket to my own bowling too - I could never read my 'wrong un'.

Never compiled my stats for time, 20-over or 40-over cricket.
Not once.
Too hard to sort them, too much effort.

Not far away from being the funniest season of cricket I've ever experienced with the team. :D

When was the year that the minibus broke down? That has produced the funniest cricketing moment ever (even higher than when you got whacked for 11 runs off 5 balls by someone who'd never played cricket before) and we didn't even make it to the cricket match.

Whoever got you of all people to signal to oncoming traffic to slow down was a true genius.

My team was overall horrible last season. In 10 games we lost 9 and won 1... by forfeit. I'd have loved to get more time in the middle and a few more overs, but my coach is somewhat less than competent.

2002 was the year with the Under 17s at CTCC, when the one wicket was picked up courtesy of Paino catching a huge skier at midwicket that prompted me to do a cartwheel. Same season I got hoiked for 22 into the tennis courts by Matt Webb.

1999 was the year that we ended up stuck in a side road off the A631 between Rasen and Gainsborough on the way to play at QEHS. I thought the best bit of that was when the De Aston school bus thought that my "slow down" meant stop and I got abuse from about 60 De Aston kids. That and when Stu and that lot were apprehended for playing in someone's cornfield.

I think the all-time classic moment has got to be during the 2000 season at William Farr, Welton (where I cracked that 4* in the last wicket partnership of 40 then took the last wicket to seal the win). It was a bit colourful.

That's a pretty useful season. You don't know what a crap season with the bat is yet!

But you're not an allrounder who generally opens the batting (I only opened once last season - scored an impressive 6 with a sweep for 4 off the opening seamer).
